Such a good case...
Pros: ...I picked up a second on my next order from the Egg. Stood on it to test it out: no bends, dents, or damage. Drive still chugging along.
Cons: None.
Most Toaster Ovens Are Just Okay
Pros: -heating elements (2 on top, 2 below) all have guards -definitive power on/off light -large glass door for viewing interior -two levels of runners for grill positioning -toasts evenly across entire grill surface -door has a stop for cooling off at 3/4 inch open -door "claws" which pull tray out slightly do not inhibit tray removal/insertion...can be adjusted if desired -was rated well (relatively) by Consumer Reports -large interior area
Cons: -power does not turn off when door is opened, i don't konw if this is becoming a less common feature these days, but most older models my family has include this feature -"mode" and "timer" resistive knobs are hard to turn beccause they have a smooth surface, are tapered, and have no key/notch to catch on. this is bad for those with arthritic or weak hands. -as all others, the exterior surface gets hot with use -the standoff on the back of the unit has sharp corners, so if you have to reach behind the unit to plugin/unplug it, expect a sharp scratch -the broiling pan and pan insert are garbage...grocery store disposables are about as good...expect to get these on your own in short order if this is something you will use regularly -mine had a reside on the exterior surface, not visible, but tangible. it came off with a soapy rag
Overall Review: As you will find from reading reviews here and elsewhere, if one does not spend a lot of money, most toaster ovens are okay. As for this one, each has its own issues to be weighed. For the price (and if you have strong/healthy hands) this is a decent buy at ~30% of list price.
Basic card.
Pros: Runs without problems under Solaris 10, latest update. Good value for the price.
Cons: Nominal GPU heatsink gets quite hot.
Overall Review: Card pulls~25W by itself.
Good for embeded linux distros.
Pros: Sufficient memory to flash with dd-wrt. Works well.
Cons: Case is flimsy.
Overall Review: Set this up for a family member, chugs along nicely. Removed the antennae so even if wireless is 'accidentally' re-activated by a guest it will barely reach the edge of the apartment.
Good cable.
Pros: Needed for console booting of a sun Sparcstation20 I 'rescued'. Works great with an adapter to DB25.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: A product has to earn a '5' from me.
Strong case.
Pros: Very rigid extruded metal case. toss it in my bag, good to go for the commute. No power connector needed for my 120GB drive on a USB connection, but I only buy high quality power supplies, so that may explain some percentage of those who need to use the power connector for larger drives. Activity light is on corner, seen from top and side.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Screws are small, but they include an extra pair in the package, just in case. As mentioned by others, drive just slides into the case, but a block of foam at the rear hold the drive tightly in place--no slipping or vibration occurs.
