Not as bad as expected
Pros: Cool Factor! Lots of room, Huge fans turn slow RPM so much quiter than previous case. Huge window shows off inards nicely. Light weight. Tooless clips were easy to install.
Cons: Handle with care! Sheet metal edges are sharp inside but not too bad if your aware. Front fan ducts (on sides of case) are not operational. I will cut them out as first mod and make use of the additional airflow from the front "engine". That cost them one star. Clippless PCI and VGA attachment useless--no worries-screws are an option and I used them. Clips allow components to rattle a little-easly modded. Front door only swings 90 degrees.
Overall Review: I was concerned about buying this case after reading the bad reviews--Im glad I did. If you buy this case for its styling,--Not ruggedness you wont be disappointed VERY modable and well worth the $$ IMHO. I installed a 120 mm exhaust fan and maintained a 42c case temp after 2 hours of Battlefield 2 online. (Fans at lowest settings) This case is not meant to be portable--door magnets work even though I removed the inner door skin for slotting. I have Audigy 2 with controls in DVD slot. 2 volume knobs block the door from closing. Left side hinging works for my situation but right side would do better to display your rig.
Stopped working 26 days
Pros: Cheap, light weight. Sounded great when they worked. Neweggs fast delivery is always a plus.
Cons: Suddenly stopped working after 26 days
Overall Review: Cheap plastic switch assy, im not sure what failed . They just stopped working while I was listening to internet broadcast. I got the USB overvoltage warning window and that was that. I can't recommend these.
Fan/Light controler--works for my needs
Pros: Small, fits in PCI slot controls Has built in RGB Light Does what I need it to do
Cons: one star for No way to control the always on RGB light and it runs constantly, switching between color spectrum. I prefer a single color. Can be covered I suppose. Could have put a control pot or on/off switch
so far so good
Pros: Low price, quite fans, painless installation been running 2 of these on my Abit IP35PRO with Windows 7 No issues. Updated the NVIDIA drivers and the cards are working very well.
Cons: Cards do not come with sli/crossfire connector cable--but they came with a many others (mini to full size HDMI, Digital to analog converter, jumpers for measuring voltage with your multimeter...throw those in the same box you stored your Sli jumper that came with your motherboard and you'll be alright. One egg deduction for packaged videocard overclock software not working (probably a Windows 7 issue) painful rebate process as usual.
Overall Review: 2.4 ghz Intel Q6600 quad core, G0 stepping running at 3.02 ghz rock solid, 800 watt power supply, WD VRaptor, 6 Gigs ram
You don't own it!
Pros: Because You need it now, Great New EGG customer service because you bought it here. Great NewEgg pricing.
Cons: The cost of this receiver is a "lease fee". Direct TV will gladly activate a new/replace an old unit and extend/establish your contract two years. You will also have to send it back to Direct tv if it breaks or you cancel service because you DON'T own it. Mine lasted 14 months. Now I have another 24 month service committment.
Overall Review: I'm on my third unit. The unit works as advertised just hope it lasts 2 years. I give it 1 egg for the lack of effective advertising explaining the hidden costs/responsibility of "leasing" and service committments.
GForce 8800GTS Factory O/C
Pros: Nice card, works as advertised. 600 Mhz Factory Overclocked means warranty --O/C Core did not generate as much heat as I expected. Well packaged. Comes with a free game-Lost planet
Cons: Comes with Free Game--Lost planet Great game if you like console games that force you to endure movie like scenarios throughout game play. Not for me. Minimal paper manual--(CD rom has full manual) Hard to read the cd with your computer disassembeled.
Overall Review: This item shipped from NJ! Did not receive it before weekend--No UPS on weekends "In stock" doesn't mean in the California store.
