Competent drive at good price
Pros: -- activity light -- self-closing cap
Cons: -- no lanyard -- end of USB port still open
Overall Review: There are 3 things about USB drives important to me: form, size, and speed. Form: this drive is physically big compared to many. It’s thick plastic case is sturdy enough, but may block closely spaced USB ports beside or above it, especially on thin laptops. Although I dislike separate caps, this oversliding snap cap cover enlarges the dimensions significantly. The cap goes over the USB plug, but the end stays open to dirt and elements. A subtle blue light tells when activity happens. (Although I like the slim, metal drives from other vendors, I do miss the activity light on those.) It has a lanyard ring, but no lanyard. It would not fit on a thick key ring or carabiner. Size: it comes with a single blank partition, only exFAT formatted for compatibility. In 10 seconds it reformats to NTFS for large files to backup (like movies). For the size of a small SSD hard drive, it holds a lot! “Corsair” pops up immediately upon plug in. I like manufacturers giving these non-generic names to separate from other devices. Speed: It works well, but the performance is average. This drive averaged about 45MB/s reads and writes about 25 MB/s on my system. The Corsair GTs are much faster at double the cost. Corsair makes excellent memory products that should last a long time. It has a 5 year warranty. It also costs less than an external 128GB SSD and is much smaller/lighter to carry around.
Ouch . . . can't make lemonade
Pros: -- lightweight
Cons: -- died quickly -- not reliable
Overall Review: Out of the box and plugged in the 5.1 oz drive. The white light came on and I dragged 5.5 GB of files to it. It seemed to quietly complete the task in about 2:45 minutes, but then the white activity light alternately goes on/off and I only hear the "click of death." The drive appears and disappears from the device list, too quickly to see anything. The drive is dead.
Great Deal . .
Overall Review: Everything promised was delivered. I was a skeptic; not now . thank you.
Another Nice Corsair
Pros: -- build quality -- stable wattages -- accurate voltage -- fast "boot"
Overall Review: This full size ATX power supply appears a high quality build like others in the CX series, starting with the 3 ½ pound weight (with minimal cabling). The series feature powdered-coated metal cases with rounded corner. Since there are no sharp edges, the beveled corners make it easier to squeeze inside a case that is on the tight side. Screw heads are all neatly countersunk. Inside there are large toroidal inductors wound with heavy gauge copper wire. Since its semi-modular, there are the 24 pin ATX main board connector and 8 pin CPU (can be split into 2-4 pin ones), which are permanently attached. The SATA, PCIe/CPU, and power cables are removable. Corsair warns the modular cables are proprietary, but includes the full supply. (There are Molex connectors and one 4-pin fan connector.) The performance doesnt disappoint. Of course my old computer server consistently boots fine, but a closer look at output voltages with a tester show everything within tight specs. A good surprise was the Power OK signal (PG) clocking very fast-- 50ms. (The ATX spec is generally 100ms-500ms.) With todays fast booting machines, its nice to see fast stabilization. Likewise the output voltages are excellent and show little to no fluctuation in software or hardware testing. (See pictures.) It acts as well-built as it looks. My machine runs silently at idle. When the 120 mm fan is running under stress, you can hear it, but nothing like Ive heard from others. I would definitely add up the needed watts for your build before deciding on this one. Many processor/video card combinations demand more wattage than this might supply. If you have an off-the-shelf build with a 350w supply, this would be a great upgrade.
Excellent SSD
Pros: -- price/value -- reliable reviews -- fast -- metal case
Overall Review: Slipped right in to a Lenovo All-in-one, although I used some styrofoam shims and double stick tape to keep it in place. Since they are only a couple ounces, it worked fine. BIOS recognized it immediately (7 year old machine) and Win 10 loaded smoothly. Works fine weeks later. Second one installed in old Dell laptop with no problems.
Best Light Strip
Pros: -- value -- features -- easy adjustments
Overall Review: this is a great light strip; it does about everything! Even Alexa control and "beats" to the music. Client is thrilled to be able to adjust color to holiday or put her logo colors on display. Two strips are better than 1 long strip for our application. Adjust length by snipping at certain points. Good seller too; good customer care.
Excellent Customer service
Lina actually contacted me about my order without any problems. Seems the shipping company didn't respond properly, but package was delivered. She was ready to send out a replacement. Nice folks.
WAYYY TOO LONG TO SHIP
I ordered because Estone claimed a "3-7 day ship" I assumed that was for delivery. It took 2 weeks just for PICKUP?! No contact, no apology, no offer to cancel. If they are going to advertise, everything should be done to make it up. I could have ordered same drive for less form somewhere else and had same experience.
Proactive ..
First vendor who ever sent a message of how to avoid any installation issues and what to do. (There were absolutely none, but it's nice to see such a proactive seller!) Very polite and open.
