Is this memory compatible with LGA 1150 mobo?

I would imagine so since 1150 takes DDR3 (though perhaps higher than 1600...I've seen 3000. Anyway, I put this RAM into a 1366 motherboard (Asus P6X58D Premium that's about 3 years old), updated from 3 sticks totaling 6gb to these 4 sticks totaling 16gb, and I had zero issues. G.Skill Ripjaws RAM is awesome. I recommend looking at your motherboard's manual, or visiting their site to see compatibility lists. What motherboard make/model do you have?

I have a Dell XPS 8300 Desktop, I wanted to upgrade the RAM. The spec on this computer said it has 4 RAM slots for DDR3 Ram with Max Supported size  of 16 GB. So is it that all you can have is 16GB of RAM total or is it the biggest stick you can use is a 16 GB stick?

I am not familiar with your Dell motherboard.  However most boards that support these G.Skill memory modules will list them on the manufacturer’s support page memory listing.  Also system memory functions best when identical memory modules are used.  I am assuming that your motherboard uses dual channel memory that would require identical sets of memory in each channel.  To answer your specific question, I suspect that your Dell specification is most likely referring to the total system memory as the most developed personal desktop DDR3 motherboards max out at 16 gb (a few could use 32 gb but the vast majority using more than 16 gb are (were) server motherboards).  DDR3 is now a very dated specification but if you have a useful DDR3 machine and just want to improve its serviceability with a memory upgrade and it is dual channel, the most reliable setup would be a factory matched set of four 4gb memory modules for a total system memory of 16gb.  But it is important to examine the memory specifications for any notations on limitations of memory amounts.  For example some boards limit the maximum memory size of each slot and/or channel above a certain memory speed or MHz (for dual channel service there are two channels of two slots for the total of capacity).  So the preserve the faster service of dual channel, you need to identify the sets of slots for each channel (this can be found on the manufacturer’s support page diagram of the motherboard).  Some motherboards only support using one or the other of the channels with memory modules above a memory amount that would be specified on the respective memory support page.  Usually with any motherboard supporting 16gbh total memory, whether or not it supports dual channel memory, you would be ok installing a factory matched set of four 4gb memory modules with one in each slot.  So to summarize, check that these G.Skill modules will work in your system and purchase them in a matched set of four modules for the most reliability.  G.Skill is a good manufacturer.  I have used many sets of their memory and have never had a problem.  You could also check the G.Skill website’s motherboard or system support pages to see if they show support for your Dell system (if your system is not listed, it doesn’t mean that these modules won’t work but possibly that they just haven’t tested them on your system).  Also be sure that your motherboard supports the 1600MHz speed in all slots/channels.  Hope this works out for you.

Will this memory work in a Dell Optiplex 780 (With 4 memory slots for 4GB each)  with an Intel Q45 chipset?

Well, the Dell Optiplex 780 with the Q45 chipset requires DDR3 1600 memory so yes, these modules should work. I believe the Dell has a maximum memory capacity of 16GB so 4 of 4 should be fine.

Will these work with a LGA 1150 Motherboard?  I see in the features they're list for LGA 1155.

Yes, this RAM works with LGA 1150. I have an MSI Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard and an Intel i7 4770 CPU, both LGA 1150. I bought the 4 x 4GB sticks to fill all four of the banks on the mobo. I understand that this configuration is supposed to help the cores work more efficiently. Thank you!

F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL(XMP) This is your current ram choice IF you only bought 8 gigs. It is the "approved part number for your board.

F3-12800CL9Q-16GBXL(XMP) Is the one selected above. its just a 16 gig pack of the same ram. so in short
YES it is compatible.

The "D" in the part number is for double, the "Q" is for quad. Which is just the number of sticks in the pack..

Is it compatible with 1150 socket board? I just purchased 2 sniper series and the board can only take 1.

I am not certain.  The 1150 socket refers to the processor. The memory you are considering here is the random access memory (RAM).  I do not believe that any particular processor is linked with any particular kind of RAM. It is the motherboard that determines the type of processor and the type of RAM . So you will need to check the specs of the motherboard to see what type of RAM it requires.

Do this RAM compatible with Ivy-E Bridge X79 motherboard?

The motherboard defines compatibility separately for chipset, cpu and memory. A motherboard that supports DDR3 memory will accept this memory but a faster memory could also be used, This is DDR3 1600. The motherboard uses a range of speeds. The voltage is 1.5 and that is standard without overclocking. Check the motherboard manual memory specs or go the the motherboard manufacturer's site for the manual which has those specs. Usually, the site also lists compatible memory.
