39 MB/s... while brand new...
Pros: This is using a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port in the back of my motherboard. Literally it gives me 39 MB/s. NO USB C cable is that slow. Crucial ran me through bunch of hoops, had be download some software that was non functional to examine the drive. But using the drive manager in my operating system, this drive topped out at 39 MB/s. And Trim is active on my computer, and the drive is BRAND NEW. Now Crucial is saying they will replace it... we'll see. I guess I have to test my drives now before I install anything now... otherwise I can be stuck with an OS installed on a ridiculously slow drive.
Cons: 39 MB/s.... so stupidly slow.
Overall Review: small, water resistant?
UPDATE: dead pixels have started to appear.... Nice panel, horrible ergnomics and annoying lights and menus flashing up
Pros: Pros: A rather nice VA panel, with no dead pixels... IPS panels always have dead pixels for some reason. 10 bit color. No back light bleed. Even back lighting.
Cons: Cons: UPDATE: NOW IT IS STARTING TO HAVE MORE AND MORE DEAD PIXELS. NEVER HAD THIS WITH ANY VA PANEL BEFORE. 1) The speakers don't work 2) The menu system is an annoying bunch of trash that pops up EVERY time the screen starts getting a signal again... the menu pops up on start up, then it pops up again when putting in my cryp key, then the menu comes up again before the log in screen, then the menu pops up AGAIN after logging in. Why? What is the point in this nuisance? 3) This annoying blue light on the bottom of the monitor blinks when the monitor is off. Why is this thing annoying me with this stupid flashing blue light? 4) The menu system is the most PITA thing I have seen to navigate. 5) The bezeless design is trash. They could have at least have put some handles on the back. They basically made this thing where there is no way to pick it up, and its utterly stupid. 6) There is no way to adjust the height and the monitor is about 3 inches higher than I would prefer. Why didn't they just add a height adjustable stand?
Overall Review: In all, its was worth the for sale price, but I wouldnt pay more than $250 for it. If they fixed all the cons, which they easily could, then maybe it would be worth MSRP. But why do the cons even exist? They are so easy to avoid. Thats why I give this monitor 1 star.
Nice screen, but awful ergonomics

WAXY RED POSSIBLY TOXIC CADMIUM OR MERCRUY DUST ON REPLACEMENT!!!! I am out $519.84 plus much time due to this piece of junk! 06/18/2018
Pros: None at all. This has to be the worst purchase of anything that I have ever made. I am out $519.84 plus much time due to this piece of junk. These grifters still have not paid for that. They tried to have me sign some stupid agreement in order to get the $519.84 I am due. I will not sign it. And no matter what they say they have not and will not be fixing this. I am re-posting this review (the most recent before this was from 6-18-18) to note that they have not repaid me because APC will leave a note saying they are working to fix this even though they aren't. APC is an evil clown company that makes junk. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!
Cons: I am updating the previous review I made. I threw out about $436.77 worth of stuff to prevent further contamination and cross contamination of my apartment from the waxy red dust that was on the outside of the 1st replacement they sent me. (I have read that that was likely mercury or cadmium) They actually sent me a 2nd replacement and it failed just like the original UPS. I ended up sending back all of the UPS. So, not only am I out the $80 or so I paid for the original UPS, but also $436.77 for stuff I had to throw out because of the 1st replacement UPS that had that waxy red dust on it. So yeah... please NEVER EVER buy from this company. PLEASE save yourself the expense and the misery of buying from these clowns. -------------------------------------------------- previous review below this dotted line----------------------------------------------- The first one failed. It shut off even though there was nothing wrong with the power and caused my PC to shut down due to lost power. It actually did the OPPOSITE of what it's supposed to do. So, APC sends me a second one. It had this sticky red dust which I gather was either cadmium or mercury. APC says it wasn't toxic, but I don't trust a thing they say. Corporations are well practiced at lying and deception. What made me even more suspicious was the way they ignored my emails when I initially started complaining about the red dust. Then APC sent me a 3rd one. And it failed too! APC set them up to be picked up and shipped out tomorrow. So far I am out the money for the back up power supply, and I will also be out money on a carpet shampooer just to make sure the potentially toxic dust from the second unit is not on my carpet and rug any longer. APC offered to send me a higher end unit, but I don't want any more of their junky untrustworthy products in my home. So, I will be out approximately $130 after the carpet shampooing thanks to this mess. Other Thoughts: Just stay away from back up power supplies. These companies just flat out do not care about what they are making. And stay away from anything with a lead acid battery for that matter.
Overall Review: Here is the release they tried to have me sign. I kinda like to just say whatever I feel like, so signing a release like this will likely never happen. I am out $436.77 worth of things that were likely contaminated by this shoddy UPS, we we’re talking over half a grand... things I threw away in an attempt to prevent further cross contamination of my home... cross contamination that is likely not fully preventable. THIS ON TOP OF the original $80 or so for the UPS. These things were thrown out to minimize my exposure to the mercury or cadmium or whatever that reddish waxy dust was on the outside of the 1st replacement UPS they sent me. Keep that in mind. I have turned down $436.77 just to write this review. That is how bad this company sucks. I am fed up with shoddy manufacturing. Completely fed up with it. Highly dysfunctional
Pros: No WIFI. I hate wifi. Not good for your health and easier to just use a wire. Works with linux.
Cons: 1) When first starting it up after resetting it will say "CMOS fail" on the text screen 2) To get it to stop that you have to hit DEL to go into the setup, then press F3 to reset everything, then press F10 to save and exit and that will stop. 3) Then it will go back to the BIOSTAR RACING graphic screen and if you do nothing or if you punch in your password it will go black and then go right back the the BIOSTAR RACING graphic screen. Why? It makes no sense. But this usually only happens once after a reset or when first using the motherboard. 4) Sometimes when you turn it off it turns immediately back on and goes to the CMOS startup and password screen. Why? 5) After pressing in your password (or just waiting if you don't have a password), it will sometimes just freeze and then maybe, begrudgingly, it will let you start up your computer.
Overall Review: I did update the BIOS after buying it in November 2017. So I don't think it's a firmware bug. This thing is just junky. Never had a motherboard this junky before.
USB 3.0 micro sucks
Pros: Um, tough... water resistant
Cons: Stopped working after 5 months. I think usb 3.0 micro connectors are a severely flawed design. They just don't allow you to easily plug in the device so you end up jamming it around in there until the derned thing goes in. That puts stress on the part and eventually it fails. also, it's too derned big
Overall Review: type c is the way to go.
