PNY CS1311 240GB 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSD7CS1311-240-RB

Pros: Very very cheap price wise, a great deal for an SSD. Even though its not a higher end SSD it is still pretty fast. Set up was straight forward and easy. shipping was in 2 days, newegg great as always

Cons: PNY logo and texture look is a sticker and comes off as a cheaper device, mine is in a drive bay and not visible so im not docking a star.

Overall Review: I use this SSD mainly for OS and a few games and have alternate HDD for storage. I would recommend this to other people with the same needs.

Refurbished: Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - Greyhawk

Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - Greyhawk
Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - Greyhawk

Pros: The headset arrived quickly before the expected delivery date, was packaged well and undamaged. I have purchased refurb products from Corsair in the past and never had an issue but I was still a bit skeptical. Overall I am glad i went with the refurb, it feels and looks new. The headset looks great and isnt scuffed or malformed / twisted. The ear cushions and the top of the headset with the "pleather" are in good condition, no tears or frayed threads. The audio is great, first thing i did was try out 7.1 channel surround sound test videos from youtube and I was very impressed. Clearly able to distinguish the audio was directional. The bass is not overpowering and is very well balanced. So far i have not had any distortion, clicking, or bad feedback when unplugged from the charger...(see cons regarding feedback while charging) The wireless range is more than i need, i am able to easily walk 20-30ft away from my PC and the audio is still clear in a multi story house... I have not fully tested the limits of the range though. The mic works well, i am able to hear the party chat clearly and others in the party can hear me loud and clear. I am not experiencing the issue others have reported where the mic audio is very quiet. Enabling the mic is simply done by pulling the mic down as far as it goes, muting the mic is done simply by pulling it back up. The package included the headset, micro USB charger, and the wireless dongle. There was no manual included.

Cons: I have a small head and the headset is tight on me, after about 2 hours it causes my ears to get a bit sore. If you are in a party chat and charging the headset at the same time there is quite a bit of distortion or just noise that others can hear, i do not hear the noise on my end. The noise is unbearable to others. This only happens when the mic is turned on though, charging the headset while in a party without the mic enabled does not cause noise on the other end. The power and volume located on the left earpiece is in the way, when adjusting the headset it is very easy to press power or accidentally change the volume. It's easy to work around but i feel the layout could be better. The included USB charger cable is short and restricts movement while in use and charging at the same time. It is a micro USB charger though and are very common, i just use my Xbox One controller charger instead so not really a big con. This is not a noise cancelling headset and when turned up people around me can clearly hear the audio. Overall the biggest con is the feedback while charging the headset and speaking in a party chat at the same time. I deducted one egg for this alone and another for the other cons i pointed out.

Overall Review: Overall I do not regret purchasing this headset, for the price I payed (60$ while on sale) it is 100% worth the money. This is a quality product, it was worth the risk of purchasing the refurb. I would personally recommend refurb Corsair products, I have not had a bad experience yet.

CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 CW-9060010-WW/RF Quiet CPU Coolers Manufactured Recertified

Corsair Certified CW-9060010-WW Hydro Series H55 Quiet CPU Coolers
Corsair Certified CW-9060010-WW Hydro Series H55 Quiet CPU Coolers

Pros: sleek design and the block looks great on the mobo. it arrived on time and was packaged well. being a refurb it is in excellent condition, it does not look like a used product. mobo: GIGABYTE Z170x Gaming 7 CPU: i7 6700K Skylake

Cons: this is a refurb cooler and came with no manual which would have been very useful, i had a bit of trouble getting it to mount properly. i was able to get it installed properly after watching a youtube video. i have also heard a brief gurgling noise coming from the radiator. i have never used water/liquid cooling before and dont know if this is normal but i would assume not. Update 05/12/2017 This cooler is not sufficient to cool my i7 6700K processor. Under half load the CPU has reached over 70 degrees celcius when gaming. The fan attached to the radiator functions just fine. I have reseated the CPU block and reapplied thermal compound and this has not resolved my problem. Unfortunately at this time the cooler is outside of warranty and i am unable to return the component. I have upgraded to the CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler. This has made a world of difference and dropped my temp atleast 20 degrees celcius under the same conditions. I would recommend to anyone with a higher end processor looking for a water cooler to spend the extra money for a dual fan radiator.

Overall Review: product does exactly as described but a few minor issues. i would recommend paying 10$ more and getting a new cooler.

Corsair Strafe

Corsair Gaming STRAFE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Brown
Corsair Gaming STRAFE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Brown

Pros: The keyboard is compact and does not take up much desk space, the size of the lettering on the keys is larger than other keyboards which i find appealing. Comes with replacement keys FPS/MOBA and a key removing tool, the keys are grey on top and textured slightly. I like the Cherry MX Brown keys very much, I transitioned from and AZIO with MX Black keys. The brown keys have more resistance when pressing down and i find i make significantly fewer mistakes when typing. The keys themselves sit high off of the board and the mechanisms seem very exposed. You can clearly see the LED's underneath the keys, i feel like this could make the board more susceptible to liquid damage. The wrist rest included is an easy snap on and snap off, i don't find it cumbersome. USB pass through feature is nice addition. RGB lighting effects are great, there are pre-set LED options you can use if you dont want to be creative, however, the advanced set up will allow you to customize every key individually or even combine some of the pre-sets with your own additions. You can create profiles in the software too. I use this for creating a gaming profile, illuminating the FPS/MOBA keys certain colors and turning LED's off for keys that are not used. I have also set up a profile for my son as well and he uses this to learn keyboard shortcuts and other things. The color spectrum is very large, you can also alter the opacity so the LED's are not blinding. This keyboard is very much worth the money, when i purchased the keyboard it was $129.99. I would recommend this keyboard not only to gamer's but every one.

Cons: As i said before the keys are elevated off of what i would call the back panel and there is no plastic giving any sort of protection. I can see the LED's under the keys fairly easy, from what i have read elsewhere online this keyboard is more susceptible than most to moisture damage. Aside from this i have no other cons. I plan on taking care of this keyboard and i have house rules about food and drinks anyway, i am not going to take an egg off for this.

Overall Review: Slight confusion when setting the keyboard up, the USB cable end splits into two. One for the keyboard and one for the USB pass through. I failed to plug in both of the USB male ends and the USB pass through wouldn't work as a result. I quickly figured out my dumb mistake, but i thought i would mention it to save someone the hassle of the same issue. The keyboard does not come with a software CD and the computer does not install one automatically. To get the software you need to go to Corsair's website and access the downloads page. Should be straight forward from there, cant set up lighting effects with out it. There's also some cool LED profiles other people have created and you can download them from the site.

BELKIN BE112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 3780 Joules Surge Protector with Telephone and Coaxial Protection

Pros: Arrived on time and was packaged well. The design is fairly thin and low profile and wide with enough space for close power blocks. LED to clearly show if the surge protector is grounded. Wall cord is angled so its not sticking out from the outlet.

Cons: The black plastic snap in pieces covering each outlet fall out fairly easily. This doesn't render it unusable by any means it just feels cheap. This was consistent so i ended up leaving them out. The cable management plastic piece is bulky and fixed so you cant remove it, i do not find it useful.

Overall Review: Its a power supply and it has a warranty, as long as you use it right it should protect your devices. The rest is personal preference.

Accell UltraAV DisplayPort to DisplayPort Version 1.2 Cable
Accell UltraAV DisplayPort to DisplayPort Version 1.2 Cable

Pros: Well the cable arrived before the expected delivery date, the cord arrived in good condition. It was packaged in a bubble wrap envelope, not a concern to me. The cord works just fine from my computer to the monitor.

Cons: No cons

Overall Review: This is a cable and there isnt much to grade, the cord worked, arrived undamaged and before delivery date.. no complaints.
