Cons: *Fan takes up two adjacent PCIe slots. *Glue that was supposed to be used to fix heat sinks to the memory and other components on the graphics card had solidified in the tube. This means that i) this had been sitting on the warehouse shelf for a long time or ii) the glue was not properly manufactured. *The fan is powered by a cable from the power supply instead of the power supplied for the fan on the video card.

Overall Review: This is a hard drive made by HGST for HP Enterprise. There are a couple of important points to note. 1. These drives were manufactured in 2017 so they are out of warranty. The SMART data states they haven't been used since manufacture. 2. There is a fatal flaw in the firmware. An update is provided on the HP Enterprise website. Simply download and run it through Windows and then reboot your system. Check the HP Enterprise website for other operating systems. 3. To power up the hard drive, you must attach it to a SATA power connector that is connected to a molex connector. This disables Pin 3 on the SATA power connector. If you simply attach the hard drive to a SATA power connector that is directly attached to the power supply, the hard drive will not work.

Pros: Read speeds are good.

Cons: As another reviewer has mentioned below, the drive writes extremely slowly so there is obviously some software issue with this optical drive.

Pros: Does run well when up to 2 RAM modules are installed.

Cons: The board I got from this site would not boot when more than 2 RAM modules were installed. I sell Intel products and I got an Advance Warranty Replacement through them. The second board had the identical issue! I transferred everything to a Gigabyte board and now everything works well. Intel motherboards used to be high quality - no longer. I've had endless issues with Intel desktop boards over the last 12 months. When I compare the same chip set on a motherboard coming from Gigabyte, the quality of the components on the Gigabyte board is much higher even though Intel is more expensive. Intel is shutting down their desktop motherboard division so it's probably time to jump ship anyway.

Pros: Fast and quiet with low temps when working at maximum capacity.

Cons: Causes blue screens 0x0116. This is happening on two separate motherboards so it is definitely the card. In any case 0x0116 on bsod's means there is something wrong with video card.

Overall Review: Deeply disappointed. Hope the replacement is better!

Pros: Looks good outside the case!

Cons: Doesn't fit properly inside a 5.25 inch bay - the black faceplate juts outside the aluminum tray holding the 3.5 inch hardware so that it is too wide to fit in the case. Totally useless.
