I currently have a 2.4 GHz set up and wired solution in my home. Is it possible to just use this for a 5 GHz solution and disable the 2,4?

No. These units do not allow individual disabling of specific bands. It's all or nothing. I'd suggest you set them up with a different SSID and set them in bridge mode. That way you can specifically place devices on your 5Ghz network as needed. Be sure to update the firmware as soon as you install them - and before making any setting changes.

Does this have a Gigabit WAN Port?

The wired ports on the MW3s are 100mbps. For a gigabit port, you have to get the MW6.

Are those 3 units identical -- any one of them can be set as the primary unit? Or, is there a primary unit and 2 satellite units in this 3-unit pack? Thanks for the advice.

Any one of them can be set as a primary unit. Keep in mind, this is a 10/100 Ethernet port. If you have an single unit of the MW6, you can use it as a primary node to take advantage of the gigaport and use the the NOVA MW3 as supplement nodes to extend your coverage. That way you can maximize your wireless speed across your mesh system.
