It's been super quiet. With the software from MSI, the fans only run if they need to. I mostly work in Revit 3D modeling software. I have played Fallout 4 and Borderlands 2 @ 4k Res and the fans never spin up. Yes, the fans do work, I've tested them. It does take up 3 slots in the back. Hope this helps.
