What all comes in the box? Do I need anything else to mount it in a generic desktop case?

It just comes with the SSD drive, and a  piece of 2.5mm thick plastic the same size as the drive in case you need to turn the 7mm thick SSD to a 9.5mm SSD.  It doesn't come with screws, but if you kept the bag of screws that came with your case, you find some that will work.  I don't know your case design, so you'll have to find a mounting place for it.  I would use the 3.5" floppy area if you have an old case.  All the recent cases I've purchased already have SSD mounting areas.

I have an 
Acer Aspire ATC-780A-UR12 Desktop PC with Intel Core i5-7400 Processor, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, and Windows 10 Home 
will this ssd work in my computer?  If it will work how can I get the windows 10 moved to this ssd?

yes it will.  it comes with software that makes it easy to transfer data from one hard drive to another.  hd or ssd it doesnt matter.   you wont believe much faster it is than a regular hard drive.  about 10x faster.  my boot time went down to 10 to 15 seconds.  fyi the samsung 850 evo is rated the 2nd fastest ssd just behind the 850 pro.  in my opinion moving from a hd to a ssd is the best upgrade your can do.  boot time and responsiveness of your programs and your browsing is much much faster

I have an Acer Aspire TC-605 and I believe it only has SATA II? Will this still work and if so anyone know how much it will cut the performance?

yes it will work but only at half the speed of sata 3.  read this:

SATA II (revision 2.x) interface, formally known as SATA 3Gb/s, is a second generation SATA interface running at 3.0 Gb/s. The bandwidth throughput, which is supported by the interface, is up to 300MB/s.

SATA III (revision 3.x) interface, formally known as SATA 6Gb/s, is a third generation SATA interface running at 6.0Gb/s. The bandwidth throughput, which is supported by the interface, is up to 600MB/s. This interface is backwards compatible with SATA 3 Gb/s interface.

that is still 5 times faster than a regular hard drive and you will see and realize the big difference.  that is some of the best money you can spend along with more and faster ram.   btw the samsung 850 evo is the same price as this one and it is a little faster and will last longer.

Does this include a serial number for the cloning software?

Seems there's no driver available, since Windows does NOT recognize it. Microsoft points finger to ADATA, apparently ADATA expects it from Microsoft...any one who has installed SU800 SSD, let's know how?

If you use a cloning software, then the drive is automatically formatted. If you are using the drive as additional storage you will need to format the drive before you can use it. I have had some drives that needed to be formatted before the cloning software would even see the drive...so if you have that problem, that may be the case.Win 10..Rgt clic my computer...manage...Disk management..dbl..lft clic...look for your unformattted drive...rgt..clic...format NTFS name the new drive then run the cloning software
