Pros: Board booted right up with no issues. Purchased as a back up board to my ASUS, but the ASUS board was DOA on me- twice. Still waiting for the third board to arrive. Price on this board was excellent.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Good value on the board. I'm going to purchase a lower end CPU and build another computer for my wife to use for internet access and watching videos. Happy with this board.
DOA- twice
Pros: The specs on the board were exactly what I wanted for my new Phenom II x6 1090T build.
Cons: I was sent one board and it was DOA. Power went to the peripherals, but no display and no beeps. The second board that was sent to me was also DOA. Unfortunately, I was not able to RMA the board back to Newegg because the 30 days had passed since my original purchase. ASUS responded to my first email about the warranty on the board and getting it replaced. However, it's been five days since my last email and no response- still waiting to get this board RMA'ed through them. I now have a new computer with Radeon 5780, 8 GBs of Corsair XMS memory, AMD Phenom II x 6 1090, but no working motherboard (been over a month this way). Not too happy
Overall Review: I've never had a single motherboard sent to me DOA- let alone two on the same build. I've had one board fail during the warranty period, but the turnaround was only a couple of weeks. Waiting on ASUS has been frustrating. I purchased a Biostar motherboard and it booted right up, so I know it's the board that is the problem. Pretty disappointed at this point with the response time from ASUS, so I hope that I can come back and give a better review once I do get the new board and my computer up and running.
Horrible board to build
Pros: Looks nice Easy BIOS update process
Cons: I was unable to get this board to post, even after taking it to someone more knowledgeable.
Overall Review: This board is horrible. I bought a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, 16 GB of memory (from Gigabyte's own approved memory list, Geforce 3070 RTX GPU, 3 different NVM 1 TB drives, a Cooler Master power supply, and Deepcool CPU Cooler for my brand new build. I found out that there are a ton of people having issues getting this board to boot. The "fixes" were supposed to be putting memory in one slot, updating BIOS, and then clearing CMOS. I have tried everything including this- removing all but one drive (then trying each of the drives independently), removing GPU, removing and reinstalling CPU, and everything else I could think of. Nothing works- when I finally took it in to someone who builds computers for their living, they couldn't even get it to post. I'm sorry, but I've built probably a couple of dozen computers over the last 15-20 years for myself, family, and friends. I've never had a computer frustrate me so much. After working on this off and on for over 3 months, I'm finally just going to give up and buy a different brand of motherboard. I absolutely do not recommend this board at all! Save your sanity!!
Great power supply!
Pros: This power supply has plenty of plug ins for various internal components. I am just rebuilding a new computer and saw that I had been using this power supply for over six years on my current computer. Perhaps the most interesting thing to me is that my projected power needs were just under 400w and this 430w supply never skipped a beat. The power supply was easy to install and fit into my mid-tower case with plenty of room to spare. It is rare to find a power supply that doesn't cause issues at some point, but this thermaltake has been a beast for me. I have ran plenty of games on my computer and it handled all of the power needs my system had like a champ. I would highly recommend this power supply to anyone building a mid level system or lower.
Cons: Nothing.
Great memory- poor customer service
Pros: Memory delivers what it is supposed to. Fast, stable, and reliable thus far.
Cons: I was denied the rebate because they said they didn't receive the UPC label (which was taped to the submission form) and they didn't receive a price on the packing list I sent them from Newegg (their requirements didn't mention this on the instructions on what to send- the packing list was one of the acceptable documents). I had two rebates that I had denied on one purchase I made through Newegg. I've decided that I will no longer use manufacturers that don't fulfill their advertisements. Very disappointed in Corsair. I'll stick with other quality and similar priced brands from now on. I'm done with Corsair.
Overall Review: Why is the $10-$12 rebate so hard to get? It's gotten ridiculous over the past several years.
Great picture!
Pros: Great quality picture with no dead pixels after several months. Graphic brightness is outstanding and the picture is crisp. I love the built in speakers because it saves space on my desk.
Cons: The controls for the monitor are in a good position, but the control descriptions are etched into the plastic below the buttons and are hard to see without direct light on them.
Overall Review: I'd buy another if I had the cash to spend!!
