Drive sleeps automatically on OS power events or 10 minutes of idle to conserve power and reduce heat.

Compatibility
Uses standard drivers in modern operating systems, so no additional drivers required. Compatible with Windows XP through 11, macOS, and Linux / Unix. Supports 12TB+ drives on 64-bit operating systems (32-bit Windows supports drives up to 2TB max). Connects to USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports with the provided USB-C cable, as well as legacy USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 hosts with the provided USB 3.0 cable. Supports all 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard drives, solid state drives, and hybrid drives up to any volume size available on the market today (currently 12TB+).
IDE/EIDE/PATA, SCSI, SAS, mSATA, and M. 2 drives are not compatible.
