The picture shows a usb port on the side, does it come with a usb port on the side as pictured?

The photos on the Newegg site as of 10/4 do not show side USB ports.  Other similar models have the ports;  this CB271HU model does not.

Does this monitor comes with Audio out?

My model, delivered 4 months ago, has two 3.5mm audio jacks.  One is labeled "Audio In." The other has a headphones icon above it.  I have not tested either jack and do not know if the "headphones" jack is a tap off the HDMI or DP input or just off the "Audio In."

I'm considering this monitor but could someone give me the height of the monitor 'without the stand'? I'm also curious if anyone has a different opinion about this monitor since your original review. Thanks

Just under 14.5" -- 14-7/16" or 366.7mm.
After 9 weeks I think it is an excellent monitor at 60 Hz at an excellent price.
Not for serious gaming or professional photography.

Question 4

The specifications say this monitor is 24" but the product title claims 27". I'm looking to clarify the size of this monitor. What are the actual screen and overall dimensions of this monitor?

The outer frame is around 14'' high, 2'' thick (thickest portion), and 24'' wide. I am pretty sure it is 27'' monitor as illustrated in the item's title. And this monitor is really heavy compared to other 27'' monitors.

Has anyone purchased this model after the listing was updated that can verify the refresh rate? Seeing mentions of 75hz in the comments/reviews - wondering if the refresh rate was reduced to make way for a new model coming out.

I've sold mine not to long ago because I got an ultrawide but I do remember getting the screen to 75hz, loved the monitor, only downside is a blue light the can be distracting in a dark room.(Just tape over the light)

I have this monitor and its working great, but can anyone explain how you get 75hz? Its only rated for 60Hz, but several people mentioned being able to get 75Hz.

75 Hz shows up for me if I go to NV control panel Display>Change Resolution and select it under refresh rate. You also have to be on 8 bpc (bits per channel) color under "output color depth". 10 bit color is only available at 60 Hz (if at all, it seems 10 bpc color feature was removed at some point after launch because its not mentioned anywhere on product page but was when I bought it early Sept 2018 and my monitor offers it).

So try switching to 8 bpc and hitting apply and then see if 75 Hz appears. Also make sure to set RGB range to full to get correct color. This can sometimes reset after a driver update. However according to one of the latest reviews the monitor no longer offers 75 Hz at 1440p even over display port unless you overclock it to that rate. So Acer may have removed that feature as well at some point during manufacturing, because it is offered on mine out of the box. Also with the newest nvidia driver G-sync compatible mode (adaptive sync/freesync) works.

Is this monitor a true 10 bit panel, or is it 8 bit with extra processing to simulate 10 bit? In other words, if you go into your Nvidia/AMD control panel and look at the output color depth setting, do you see 10bc as an option? What about Windows settings for Advanced Color? Are those available to you? And does enabling/disabling those settings produce a noticeable difference? Thanks!

I was the one who asked this question and nobody answered it. I now have two of these monitors and can confirm that it's a true 10 bit panel so the 10bc option does show up in Nvidia control panel. It really is pretty useless though, since stuff these days only takes advantage of 10 bit if you have a full HDR setup (which this monitor is not). Because of this, any improvement in colors in 10 bit mode is completely unnoticeable - might as well leave it at 8bc and crank up the refresh rate to 75Hz instead.
