Would like to use it

Pros: None as of yet

Cons: I would really like to get an idea of how this card runs. The first card I got would not work, it kept either having no signal on the screen or shutting my pc down. I have already got a replacement once so far, the replacement came with no plastic on the packaging making me wonder if the card was used or just the same one I sent back. Upon opening the box to take the card out there were tons of finger prints on all of the chrome parts of the card. Which means I did not receive a new card as the replacement.

Manufacturer Response:
Dear Thomas,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please check the 6+2 PCIE power is plugged to the card.
Reinstall the card firmly to the slot.
Test on another PCIE slot.
Test on another known good mainboard to verify.

So far great GPU

Pros: Nice card had no problems OC to 1600 MHz with Radeon software. You can hear the fans at this clock speed under load but I game with a headset so I don't hear them anyway It only has one 8 pin per connector which surprised me but it runs great. Hopefully it holds up well time will tell all my other cards have been Sapphire cards and wanted to try another brand. It got a 17155 score in 3D Mark fire strike first test 83 fps second test 67 fps

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Could've made the back plate a little longer but maybe that is for cooling purposes overall happy with this GPU

Great Mid-Range GPU

Pros: - Runs my games that use the horribly UNoptimized Crysis 3 engine at a *solid* 60 FPS.
- Normal sized GPU (as opposed to many GPUs these days being loooong).
- Reasonable power requirement (ONE PCI-E power connector)
- Easy install.
- Reliable.
- AMD tweaking options work well.

Cons: - At high temps the fans are audible. Not necessarily loud, but I can definitely hear them (but fan speed is adjustable so not so bad).
- A bit overpriced for a mid-range GPU.

Other Thoughts: - Made in Vietnam.
- Purchased at Tsukumo in Akihabara, Japan.

Over the past 20 years of using GPUs by various makers (MSI, ASUS, Sapphire, XFX, HIS, and Matrox to name a few) I have to say that I am very happy with ASRock and plan to buy my next few GPUs them. Really well made cards with stable drivers.

Use the driver disk the GPU comes with for your initial driver install. After those are installed use the Catalyst Controller for driver updates.

New new card is great!

Pros: Top-notch performance
AMD's Radeon Software made customization a breeze
The RMA process was quick and painless

Cons: Still a little louder than I would like

Other Thoughts: After returning the first card I installed the replacement with no small amount of trepidation. Everything turned out fine. I'm running everything at max settings without any issue and very pleased with the performance in all respects. I would not recommend this card to someone with a relatively open or predominately mesh case, as it can get fairly loud, but following the advice of another reviewer and learning how to set a custom fan curve helps tremendously. I got this card on sale for 220 and consider it money well spent.

Great GPU

Pros: AMD's support is great
Fans are relatively quiet
Great output ports

Cons: Clunky design, but the Sapphire exists if cosmetic issues are your concern.

Other Thoughts: AMD's RX 590 runs somewhere in between the performance range of GTX 1060 and the 1070, but I think the value for the 590 wins out for most midrange PC builds that aren't focused on gaming.

ASRock RX 590

Pros: Was $219. Thats it. Terrible card had to RMA/Return

- ASRock RX 590 is extremly loud, has terrible stock fan curve settings, the cooler is cheaply made. I have used RX590s from Sapphire Nitro and XFX Fatboy which are MUCH better quality (Sapphire is the best of the bunch).

Cons: - VERY Loud fans, with terrible stock settings. Tried resetting the fan curves (helped a bit), but the card sounds like a jet engine about to take off.
- Has only one 8-pin PCI-E power connector (other RX590s have both a 8pin and a 6pin)
-Cooler is not very efficient and runs a bit hot.

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this product. Pay the extra few $ for a Sapphire, Powercolor, or XFX RX 590 this one is VERY poor quality.

Manufacturer Response:
Dear Chad,

Thank you for purchase and review. Your feedback is important to us.
The fan speed of the graphics card is optimized according to the working temperature.
It seems unfortunate that your fans of the graphics card is spinning at high speed, that means the graphics card is under heavy workloads, or in a high temperature environment.
In your case, you may attempt to set a custom fan curve by ASRock Phantom Gaming Tweaker utility software (link below), or to reduce the environment temperature by improving the air convection (in the chassis).

Set custom fan curve

Pros: NA

Cons: NA

Other Thoughts: People please do some research on how to operate these things before returning and leaving bad reviews.

Nearly all of the 590s run hot and you need to set custom fan curves. The manufacturers care more about setting a quiet profile as long as the card isn't pushing 85c+ technically it's ok. Personally I set my curves to hit 100% fan by 72c and they tend to run extremely cool, but much louder. How loud varies by brand and model.

If anything complain about the noise because you had to set your curve higher due to temps, but don't complain about tempe because you didn't set a curve.
