Pros: -Same thermal envelope as the 5800x using a corsair h115i Pro XT
-maintains its max boost clock
-G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) F4-3600C14D-32GTZN - Running at 3800CL4 1:1 just like my 5800x
-Could actually run ram at 2000MHZ 1:1 but to many whea errors - 5800x wouldn't even post
-Better frame times\lows\average and max FPS in all my games i play over the 5800x - (Including X4 foundations and planetside 2) @ 3440x1440p max settings
-MSI X570S ace max BCLK OC now available with newest bios
Cons: None- Yes productivity scores are lower but I only game and that's it.
Overall Review: -Very impressed. Paired with my 6800XT, i used to see massive FPS drops (below 60) in Games like planetside 2 when there are too many things happening on the screen. Now? No drops below 70fps in those same battles. Same with X4 foundations ; used to drop below 40 in places like Nopileos Fortune 2 now it doesn't go below 60 and at times runs at a solid 100fps. This game usually kills the CPU.
Pros: 5800X with steroids, the new 3D is incredible fast and consumes low wattage, it has the perfect balance for any demanding task while excels in gaming.
Best of both worlds.
Cons: As opposed to my previous 5800X I can no longer boot to OC 4X8GB 3800CL14 fclk 1900, the sweet spot for my new X3D is 3666 13-13-13-13-33 fclk 1833 with better Dram voltage instead.
it gained me lower timings which is also very nice.
Great!! Amazing for some games4/23/2022 10:47:01 PM
Overall Review: I swapped my 5600x for this and I have another system with a 12600K ... All I can say is this processor is great. And for about a third of games it's absolutely insane...
Back 4 Blood, a game that typically has frame stutter due to all of the many AI characters runs flawlessly now. 3080ti with this rarely drops below 200fps.
Love it
Pros: I have a dedicated gaming PC for sim racing and having the lowest possible latency and highest FPS is critical. Cooling is not an issue as I use the Corsair iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT Liquid CPU Cooler and the 5800X3D is cooler than the 5800X I replaced.
Cons: Not being able to overclock may not work for some users. I don't OC because I need rock solid stability for 24 hours or more in endurance races. If you are a streamer or have to use your PC for more than gaming the 5950X may be a better option.
Overall Review: Great value for a dedicated gaming PC. Pairs great with NVIDIA 3090 FE and Gigabyte X570 AORUS Ultra 1.2 motherboard.

Great Product5/5/2022 9:01:21 AM
Pros: latency issues gone yes got rid of 5950x for this beast and not looking back thank you AMD and Newegg!!
Cons: Runs a little warm under full load, but for gaming it doesn't go above 78C on an air cooler.
Overall Review: With AM5 around the corner, this CPU is a great way to end the AM4 line up, although I'm in no rush to upgrade my platform to AM5. This CPU is 26% on average faster than my R7 3800X at stock. It handles anything I throw at it with ease. Paired with a recently acquired 3070Ti, it's a beast!

Pros: Incredibly smooth frame pacing in all the games I've played so far. This is hard to appreciate from the online reviews. Average framerates are still more or less the same, but the smoothness is astounding.
Easy direct replacement on my x470 motherboard.
Cons: Thermal handling. This chip has a harder time shedding its heat. I remounted my XSPC Raystorm water block 3 times to be sure I hadn't done something wrong. Within 15 seconds of a Cinebench r23 all core load I was seeing a cpu temp of 83c (with the weaker mount it hit 87c).
The boost is still where it needs to be, but higher than I am used to seeing with custom water cooling.
Overall Review: I upgraded from a 3700x. I use my PC almost entirely for gaming. I play @ 1440p with a RX 5700 XT. I knew I would still be GPU bottlenecked, but I wanted a CPU that would last 2 more GPU upgrades. I believe I have found it. The CPU swap improved framerates in a couple of games that felt like a GPU upgrade. Metro Exodus, and Far Cry 5, New Dawn ran like it was a different machine >21% better frame rates in the Far Cry series games.
Very impressive. I'm happy with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to make the same choice if I were in the same position again.
If you want to get a few more years out of your AM4 socket and primarily game on your PC, then look no further. Just be prepared with a good cooler.
Pros: Best in class performance at a reasonable price while also not being a power-hungry monster. The fact that AMD is providing support for this chip for Motherboards going back to X370 is nothing short of incredible.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I upgraded from a 3900X to this chip and saw massive performance gains in some games. Anyone with Zen 2 or older will see the boost they want to get even more longevity out of the AM4 platform.
