Will this fit into the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula just fine with its big heatsink?

I have the same SSD and MoBo.  It fit fine, however I didn’t use the cool looking Asus heatsink.  This One is much larger than the Asus hestsink so I figured it’s best to keep it.  But without the Asus heatsink it fit just fine and looks fine to me.

Question 2

Does the heat sink stick out far enough to interfere with the graphics card?

No, I have an AMD RX 5700 XT GPU, and these two components don't touch. The only issue I had with this SSD was that I couldn't put the Mother Board's respective M.2 cover plate back on, so I had to find a storage place for it.

How well with this work with the ASUS B350-f ROG Strix motherboard?

I believe that motherboard has only PCI-E 3.0 capability so buying a PCI-E 4.0 M.2 SSD would probably work but it will downclock to PCI-E 3.0

does this fit on an msi prestige x570 creation?  the heatsink does not have removable covers for the m2 slots

I can tell you on the MSI x570 godlike, I couldnt install this drive and my GTX GeForce Titan x next to each other. I couldn't get the graphics card all the way in the slot as the heat sink was just too tall. I moved the mp6000 down to a different M.2 slot. It was actually a good move anyway cuz that m.2 slot I moved it to was directly connected to the cpu.

Can you remove the heat spreader easily?My M.2 is on the back of my mobo so clearance is tight

Yes, you can. The main heat sink itself is just held on by clips and some thermal pads between the chips and the HS itself. Just use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the clips off, then gently pull away the heat sink from the thermal tape, and you've got the bare module. It *does* get hot though, so if you can find a heatsink that will fit it will be beneficial.
