Question 1

The case says it supports Slim ODD. Where is the cutout?

It installs vertically, check out the top view angle and you can see the sliding door. This is a a great case for the price. My only gripe is that the aforementioned sliding top panel can sometimes rattle if you do not have an ODD installed. Other than that, its been a solid case for my mITX gaming rig.

What are the differences between the QBX and the QBX-KAZE?

That's not really an easy question as despite them looking similar, there are SO many DESIGN changes its shocking, you would be best served checking out COUGAR's website and looking at the product page/pictures for each.

The big thing's that stick out are design changes, MESH PANEL ALL THE THINGS for one (I love it, with all mesh i can hit it with a can of air or an air compressor and a simple wipe to clean instead of having to taken panel's off as its SUPER dusty in Texas!), movement of the power button/USB on the front a smidgen but it results in a different orientation, the actual dimensions (WxHxD in mm), with the QBX being 178x291x384 and the QBX-KAZE being 180x299x386, and the way the Optical area is accessed, else, what you can put in doesn't differ.

After having 1 QBX and 3 QBX-KAZE, I prefer the KAZE, BUT, its VERY much a USER PREFERENCE here, I didn't have any PROBLEMS with the QBX so I don't think you really can go wrong!

Question 3

I see tons of "xyz" PSU did not fit; can anyone tell me what PSUs DO actually fit in this case (without additional modification)?

Hello -- the issue is not size of the power supply, it is where the power cord attaches. The KAZE has an elbow connector to run the power line from the back of the case to the power supply, an it will only "reach" 3 of the 4 possible sides.

For me, I used the Silverstone ST50F-ESG and had zero problems.

It's a cool case. :)

Question 4

does this fit a SFX powersupply?

Not out-of-the-box.  However, many SFX power supplies come with a SFX to ATX conversion bracket.  You will need that to use a SFX PSU with this case.

Question 5

This looks like the best case for a Console PC build. How compact does it appear and feel?

It's a bit big for a compact media PC, but it has space for a full size GPU and PSU plus you could put a h100 water cooler on it if you wanted

I purchased this case for a future build and my main concern was the lack of filter. What kind of gpu,  watercooler, and motherboard do you have? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to have an idea of what to expect when I begin my build should we have the same hardware. Thanks in advance!

I have an EVGA GTX 660 (blower style cooler) with a Cryorig M9i on a Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI.  There is a filter on the bottom of the case that slides out, as well as 1 other fan filter included.  I don't live in a dusty area, so it's not a problem, but you may want to buy additional filters.
