A true monster
Pros: A lightning fast chip. really just all around impressive, the contact frame by thermal right or the one by thermal grizzly coupled with conductonaut liquid metal by thermal grizzly will bring temps down close to 20° C you can run cinebench at 81°c with no overclock but if you undervolt .1 you can do 5.3 for all your P cores with your 2 strong cores at 5.6 and 4.2 for your e cores and sit around 81-84°c on cinebench and be around a 29000. And im onyl running 5200mhz dimms
Cons: It can run really hot, but that's not so much the chips fault as it is Intels poor designing of the motherboard seat/latch so it puts uneven pressure across the surface and doesn't allow your cooler to make proper contact with the heat spreader, the other bad thing is it can suck some serious juice when under full load it will heat up an entire room like a space heater I recommend having an ac to maintain a good ambient temperature
Overall Review: Serious performance
meh
Pros: they spin
Cons: leds burned out on 2 of them in less than a week and a third started making like rubbing vibrating sound
Overall Review: i got them cause they were cheap and i should have known better especially when all my other parts are the highest tier to cheap out on fans was just dumb on my part
Works perfect for 7950x3d
Pros: Tight timings, easy expo profile, look awesome, best of all they just work no fafoing around, lifetime warranty
Cons: They are expensive but if you want quality you're going to pay for it
Overall Review: I just switched from Intel to AMD I had a set of Corsair vengeance 4x16gb set, a true 4 dimm set, obut they were xmp certified and they worked but were super unstable even with just 2 dimms in. Constantly crashing, couldn't run y cruncher at all. I put the G skill trident neo z5 in activated expo then ran y cruncher to the 10 millionth decimal place no problem. Also horizon forbidden west would instantly crash as soon as I took a step in game. After I put these in I played an hour straight before having to go back to work cuz my lunch was over. Highly recommend these.
In love with the 7950x3d after my intel debacle
Pros: 3dvcache! Can over clock one ccd Curve optimizer does amazing things Best of both worlds vcache and high frequency 16 BIG CORES They seem to have gotten the kinks worked put with the scheduling Not a 13900k or 14900k
Cons: Requires a fresh windows install Requires game bar
Overall Review: After my experience with my 13900k killing itself i took the money i made from selling the unopened replacement intel sent me and got the 7950x3d. it is amazing. it is super stable, it makes my 13900k look like a joke, over 12hours in prime 95, cinebenchr23-r24, the entire 3d mark suite, the entire Ada 64 suite plus 7 hours of Ada 64 component stress test, plus so many more, it chews through them all no errors, no crashes, no bsods, no problems. superposition on low 720p settings rank number 26 out of 3,500 entries with just curve optimizer set to -15. It is such a night and day difference from my 13900k I used to be ecstatic if I hit an hour in Prime 95 with my 13900k with no errors. Cinebench with no crashes was the best i could hope for brand new out of the box on base settings hitting 100c. My score would be 41k though, as opposed to 37,500 the 7950x3d gets. the 7950x3d never got above 67c through everything i have thrown at it except cinebench r23 i hit 82c.This chip is amazing and they seemed to have gotten the scheduling situation under control finally, at least for the roughly 50 games and counting I have with black myth wukong being next on my list.
z690 carbon paired with 13900k and 4080
Pros: you won't find another mobo with a 18+1+1 power phase vrm at a better price 5x m.2 drives! 2 Gen 5 pcie slots can use 13th gen intel raptor lake with a bios update argb has the features of a 600$ board on board display for error code and also displays cpu temp Excellent heat sinks, their frozr tech is legit MSI center software is very useful flash bios button allows you to flash a new bios with no cpu in the board
Cons: no clear cmos button
Overall Review: very good board closer to the high end than the mid-tier in my opinion if it had a few more power phases it would be considered a high-end board. good for overclocking and handles the new 13th gen from intel and the 4080 like a champ. Very aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion it is the best board in its price bracket if gaming and overclocking are your goal.
A f@*king Monster!
Pros: it's a 4080! super-fast stays very cool haven't gotten it to go above 59c so far with a heavy overclock, my 3080ti ftw3 is a furnace compared to this thing specs say 2535 boost clock but mine hit 2785 out of the box so idk what that's about lol but I'll take it Better power efficiency than any other generation paired with a 13900k and a good mobo and ddr5 ram and your set for the next few years
Cons: Not a 4090 Silver plastic kind of has a cheap feel to it, but it does look good and it's not being touched anyway so its no biggie The support bracket could be a little more solid No argb
Overall Review: Excellent card super grateful I was able to get one, really would have liked to get the 4090 but alas no stock, with that being said I am very happy and super impressed with this card. I have been an evga fanboy since the beginning and they were my go to for gpus. They left some big shoes to fill to say the least. With this card MSI not only fills them, but they laced them b@#ches and took off running! MSI has always been preference for motherboards so I am happy I can rely on them for quality gpus now.
