Pros: Haven't had a virus since i started using this in combination with active megabytes protection. Had avast and got a virus, went into safe mode and did a eset scan and it fixed it where avast missed it completely. I put this on all my families computers so they don't call me with virus/malware problems.

Pros: no issues with other drives

Cons: Supposed to come with 3 year warranty. HP Support site does not know this drive exists. Called hp support number and they do not recognize the serial number. Telling me to contact newegg to get a 10 digit serial number. Which does not exist because I am giving them the one printed on the drive. According to the parts department agent I was talking to 2AP97AA#ABL is supposed to be marketed to Canada which is why they cannot find the serial number in USA database. ABL is supposed to be for Canada. They figured this out after second phone call and 1.5 hours on the phone. Horrible customer service. They sell this exact part number on the HP US Store so not sure how that is marketing to Canada..... Finally get to a case manager and they say they do not normally warranty these after sending Proof of purchase they will let me know what They can do.... pretty disapointed in this support experience.

Overall Review: slowest customer support yet..... I think HP Need to get their act together with warranty support for this product. Perhaps newegg needs to verify they should be selling this within the USA and hopefully tell their HP.

Pros: Some of the ram worked?

Cons: We sent 2 sets of 8GB of ram in for replacement due to errors/system freezes in multiple computers/motherboards.( took over 1 week to get RMA setup) 1 of the replacements was defective with memtest errors. they paid for roundtrip shipping on next set of replacements and those are defective also. At some point I think lemon laws should apply. So at this point out of 7 sets of memory 4 were defective. 57% failure rate is unacceptable.

Overall Review: Oh and When you call Geil North America a receptionists answers and says there is only 1 person that can help you which has a full voicemail and they will send a email to him. So their customer support for north america is one person????
