HP EX950 2TB

HP EX950 M.2 2280 2TB PCle Gen3 x4, NVMe1.3 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 5MS24AA#ABC
HP EX950 M.2 2280 2TB PCle Gen3 x4, NVMe1.3 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 5MS24AA#ABC

Pros: It is more responsiveness than the Samsung 860Evo 1TB and the 840 Pro I had. Probably the best gb per cent ratio M.2 SSD out in the market currently. Currently I have written 3.8TB on the drive itself, for the 2TB version the SLC cache peaks out around 500GB file transfer. Meaning if you are moving a folder larger than 500GB at any given time, once the SLC cache peaks out you would see a substantially write down from 500-600mb/s range down to less than 10mb/s range. At 50% drive storage capacity read is at 3503mb/s and write 2843mb/s. At 83% drive storage capacity read at 3430mb/s and write 1396mb/s.

Cons: Runs normal at high 30s Celsius. However, during initiating drive for formatting (accidentally uncheck quick format) I saw it shoot up to 74C in matters of 2-3 minutes. Once I put a case fan directly over it, keep it down below 50C. Still a TLC drive with a large SLC caching. Write speed drop substantially after 80% drive storage capacity.

Excellent card

XFX GX260NADBF GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
XFX GX260NADBF GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: This card does not improved too much FPS compared to older 8800gts 320mb card, however the FPS is very consistent and all the gameplay is very smooth. Believe it or not this card works with the EVGA precision tool making it very accessiable for tuning. As I seen most users here mention about the sound issue, this is because the new 2-series card is build with powersaving in idle mode. So, whenever the card is going from idle to non-idle state you will hear those sounds from the card there is nothing wrong with the card. Bundle and the packaging is very good and especially the double lifetime warranty is a plus. Temperature wise is running cooler than my older 8800gts 320mb card.

Cons: For people who does not know what they talking about or does not own this card please don't give reviews that is misleading information. Must register 30days within the purchase to get the full warranty or else just turn into one year warranty. I wish XFX can have any program that is like EVGA or BFG that would allows to trade in for newer model not really a con.

Overall Review: Power requirement is 630watts for this card recommended by XFX and most other GTX 260 model are 580watts power requirements for those who need this information. Come visited the eggxpert forum if people really need help or questions not in the review please.

Good mobo for OC

ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Very easy to overclock especially in the BIOS. 3.0GHZ is easily attainable at stock vCore voltage and stable throughout all the benchmark results. BIOS is the latest updated and the tech support isn't bad as some of the previous reviewers said.

Cons: If your ram is rated above 1.8v you must stick one in at a time, then boot into the BIOS set the ram voltage to the standard voltage of that ram in order to boot both sticks. Required sometime, but good for learning experiences.

Overall Review: If you like overclocking this board can utilizing the results you want, but remember to keep the cpu temperature within standard.
