Is this laptop quad-core or eight-core?  The description and specs menu contradict itself, so I must know if it's either quad or eight.

Does the A17 have a 2.5" bay?

I have to eat crow because my reply yesterday was incorrect. Yes there are 2 PCIe NVME gen 3 drive slots, BUT YES THERE IS ALSO AN EMPTY 2.5" SATA SLOT CAPABLE OF HAVING AN SSD. Sorry for my ignorance, but corrected in record time.

FPS depends on the game and graphical settings. This configuration will run most current games on High settings at a high FPS.

Based upon public internet statements, ASUS is supposed to have released the computer & start shipping to retailers 3 days ago but with the COVID-19 scare, there might be unexpected delays.  Newegg should have more information than I have.

Specs on Asus website for the A17 (4800H) state "Integrated Wi-Fi 5". Can this be user upgraded to Wi-Fi 6?

Judging from the teardown videos it looks like it.  The intel "Killer" Wifi 6 module is for sale here as well.  I'm just waiting to get mine so I can see what M.2 standard they are using.
