Does HDB-252 have 2 round bumps on each side to go into the grooves provided in a Macintosh G5 computer?

I don't know but I do not recommend this anyway, very cheaply and oddly made, as far as the setting holes are placed, and the SSD's just sit in there, they don't click in or anything, obviously I don't think you'll be swinging your computer around the room lol nevertheless.

Question 2

As it is how tall is this thing? does you average drive stand up taller then the top of the unit? I have only 1 and 1/8 inch to slide this thing in and out on a caddy.

I bought it to hold a solid state drive.  Mine's installed, so I wouldn't know the other dimensions without taking the computer apart.  I am able to measure the height of the adapter, which is mounted horizontally in an Antec case.  It's 1 inch.  I hope that helps.

Question 3

We need adapter brackets that will work with the Dell quick mount hard drive caddies in the Optiplex 390 and 3010 PCs. The mounting holes in the adapter brackets must accept the smooth quick mount pins of the caddies. Will these adapter do so?

Hi Stephen,

I have an Antec box which came with clips to hold the hard drives.  I'd bought a Samsung solid state which was smaller than the clips.  The adapter bracket solved the problem, and everything works well at the moment.  I hope this helps.

Question 4

We need adapter brackets that will be compatible with the quick mount caddies in Dell 390 and 3010 PCs. The bracket must accept the smooth mounting pins of the Dell 3.5" caddies, rather than screws for mounting. Are these suited for this type of mount, or would the holes have to be drilled out?

The holes are the same as those on a standard drive. I would be more concerned with height. Make sure the bracket is not too tall for your caddies.
