Pros: Just purchased this laptop a few days ago. It's fast so far and the screen display is outstanding. Keyboard feel is very nice as well.
Cons: The built in speakers are disgusting! I cannot find a way to adjust the sound (base vs. treble) However external speakers and headphones sound very nice.
Overall Review: I do recommend this laptop. I wanted to rate is as 4 and 1/2 stars. It was on sale = sold.
Pros: Fast on start up! Very fast computer and powerful! Love this laptop!
Cons: Nothing really to complain about. The only thing that takes time is doing all the windows updates when you first power it on and any microsoft and norton apps. But that is a given when setting up a new laptop.
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this laptop for office users. I am not a gamer so I'm not using it for that. But from the reviews I looked up on youtube it appears you can use this for light gaming. Picture quality is great! I usually have 15 tabs open while streaming hulu and this laptop does not struggle at all. On my old dell inspiron 15 5000 series laptop once I started streaming the fan would kick on (which is really loud) and it would sound like it would be struggling.
Pros: Great product fir the price.
Cons: Nothing
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this computer.
Pros: Setup was easy and works exactly as advertised. A nice-looking laptop that boots up quickly and runs well. I like the lighted keys, something I didn't have in my previous laptops. Thin and light, easy to carry. Sound comes through clearly. Overall a great product!
Cons: Haven't found any cons yet.
Overall Review: Definitely would recommend it--great value for the price. Acer's products are always reliable.
Pros: Easy to setup. Keypad feels natural. Thin and light metallic design with chrome logo. Feels sturdy. And purdy. Wifi antenna is super strong.
Cons: Bottom is not aluminum like top. If you put a little pressure on the top of the laptop, while it's closed, you can see the aluminum easily give. I would be careful while transporting or in storage
Overall Review: Great specs and great looking. Could be stronger in some areas, especially the top of the laptop.
Pros: Had a 4+ year old Acer with an middle of the road Intel i5 . It was really slow even though I added memory from the original 8. At least I had time to make coffee before I could get to my e-mail. This one is on in 10 seconds vs 10 minutes. Very fast going from one program to another. Never had a laptop with backlighting so I'm enjoying that feature. I use the laptop for e-mail, surfing the web and checking out various business sites. The i7 CPU handles anything I need. It's also is light weight. I don't do games other than some basic card games, etc. The screen resolution is excellent. I'm very pleased. No cons.
Overall Review: I'm very glad I choose this laptop. Met all my requirements and more. I'd recommend this model to anyone who needs to upgrade from a slower model.
Pros: Boots up from cold start in 8.5 seconds average- Once I enter logon credentials I'm at my desktop view in 17-20 seconds total. Quick!! The display is very nice, crisp and customizes easily.
Cons: I clung to my Win 7 Pro operating system for dear life, sadly I'm reminded that it's no longer supported or compatible with new software or the functionality of some web destinations. Win 10 Home is an awful experience, I've spent two days disabling all the bloat and craplications that live within it. Seriously this is making my user experience of an otherwise very good machine kind of a pain. The machine construction is what you would expect from a low cost laptop. The hinge is very stiff and makes me wonder if it will become problematic with regular use. Durability is probably my only real concern, I guess time will tell. If there are physical short comings, then I have to believe there might be some low cost component decisions within.
Overall Review: There are some simple upgrades that would have made my experience better. There isn't a visual "num lock" indicator light on the number pad, but rather an icon that pops up on the screen that toggles on or off as you depress the button. Why would that have been a better solution? The Lan port has a small spring loaded ramp that drops down in order to accept an RJ45 plug, I don't see this as being a long lived design element. Too bad for what is otherwise a pretty nice machine. If you've been using and older "overbuilt" machine, be prepared for a much lighter and borderline fragile unit.

Pros: I like the weight of this laptop, so much lighter than my old machine. I can't get over how fast this machine is. I've been looking for a replacement for a year. My boy bought one with with the 8th gen. I7 and it was fast. This one has the 10th gen. I7 and with the new wifi card it runs like a race car.
Cons: So far I have not had any problems at all. The power connector could be a lot more robust I believe it works good, but so much smaller than my old machine power plug.
Overall Review: If you want a fast machine I do recommend this machine.
