Does this unit push air into the laptop, or pull air away from it? Is it easy to switch the direction of airflow?

The unit attempts to push air into the laptop. Change of direction of airflow is not available. The unit works very well. It
is close to silent and one of the better investments I've made over 30 years working with personal computers, both desktops & laptops.

Does it feel comfortable using it in your lap? Does it fit in an average sized backpack?

I don't use this on my lap, might be fine but, fans would be obstructed blowing against your legs. I carry my Lenovo W530 & the A200 laptop pad (picking both up at same time) in a Wenger Synergy laptop backpack with no problem. On your lap would be ok with the legs folded up I guess. I really like this laptop pad

What is the exact weight of this product?

It is pretty lightweight and approximately weights around a pound. Works great and at least my HP laptop now does not shuts off due to excessive heat generation. Would definitely recommend it.

Hi!

Because of a bad back, I work almost lying flat and prop my legs up to support the laptop. I wanted to know if the product can be stuck to the back of the laptop (using a latch type bearing or adhesive)?

Hello,

I would say a latch would be better. The pad has 4 rubber grips that would keep your laptop too high to make adhesive reasonable . Also bear in mind the size of it compared to your laptop. I have a 15.6" gamer and it hangs off the sides by about a half inch. I wouldn't know much more than that though, since I have never seen this done. Are the fans able to be replaced, and if so, is it very difficult or time-consuming to do so?

Appears you CANNOT replace the fans because they seem embedded in the casing - could not find any screws etc. to open case.

That said, I live in Vegas and it was hotter than hell when I bought this unit.  I use my computer more than 12 hours a day, every day, and my laptop was having overheating problems until I got this fan.  From then on, not a single problem as a result of the hot weather and the computer being used constantly.  Although others have commented that the unit was a bit noisy for them, I have never had any issue with that. I would buy this again in a New York minute.  At 14.99 why would anyone even want to screw around with replacement parts????
