Great backup drive
Pros: Quiet Cool Inexpensive
Cons: None
Overall Review: Been using this drive for a while as a backup drive. Gets formatted often, just to make sure that the backups it gets are clean and current. Still alive and kicking...which, for a Seagate, I'm impressed. This is the first Seagate drive I've owned. I can not complain.
Works...but not for what I needed it for
Pros: Worked in Windows XP. Gave Gigabit speeds. Easy setup.
Cons: Locked up my Linux install, which is why I bought the NIC. Recognized by IPCop, and would work sometimes, but usually ended up killing the OS.
Overall Review: Would NOT recommend this for a Linux install. Good for Windows, though.
Be careful with speed
Pros: - Easy to set up - Stable
Cons: - Limits a 250Mbps connection to ~50Mbps - Only a 100Mbps wired connection
Overall Review: Didn't pay much for this, and it will work for the time being. I have fiber 10Gbps between the machines that need it, separate from the ethernet connection. After wiring these in, my internet speed (performed testing from www.speedtest.net) went from ~250Mbps to ~50Mbps. I could see ~100Mbps, so I'm not sure why it dropped to 50. I'm not guaranteed a certain speed via the ISP, so I'm alright with it, kinda. The Comcast service was only 50Mbps anyways, so nothing changed. Basically, all these do is get the internet signal from the 5G gateway to the router. My internal speeds will remain at 1Gbps over ethernet and 10Gbps over fiber. I have another TP-Link powerline adapter that won't pair with these for some reason. I can't figure that one out.
Another upgrade
Pros: More memory Compatible in all 8 slots of an ASRock X399 Phantom Gaming 6
Cons: Runs at 2133MHz (pretty sure it's a chipset issue)
Overall Review: Ran in to an issue that I believe to be motherboard/chipset related more than memory, but something to consider. I already had 32GB of this in my ASRock X399 board, and was aiming for 96GB. It would appear that though the motherboard will detect that configuration, something doesn't like it. The system was EXTREMELY unstable this way. Once I looked in the manual, there is no recommended install configuration for 96GB. Only one set, two sets, or all four. Not three. Also, the memory runs at 2133MHz, not 2666MHz. Also, pretty sure a limitation of the chipset. Not concerned about the speed difference, as it allows me to lower latencies instead. I'm running a ThreadRipper 2920X in this, and it's speedy enough as it is. Nothing is overclocked in this machine, either. I will end up with another batch of 16GB x 2 to maximize the memory in this at 128GB. Not that it needs it, but it just sounds cool. This memory part number is one of just a couple that is ASRock approved in all 8 memory slots.
2x120GB for boot
Pros: Fast SSD Small
Cons: None
Overall Review: Obviously, time will tell about reliability, but the two of these that I'm using for boot in RAID0 boot the AMD 2920x and Win10 in VERY short order. No data is stored on these, save for the handful of programs needed to run the PC.
Big, big, big
Pros: Big Higher horizontal resolution than my old dual monitor setup by 900 pixels Higher vertical resolution than my old dual monitor setup by 1110 pixels Big Bright Cool to touch Big
Cons: Big (make sure you're good with desktop space) You won't need two
Overall Review: This is a great monitor that paired with my GTX960 displays a lovely 4K screen and HDR movie files. At this refurb price...grab one.
No troubles here
Seems like they shipped a quality product at a reasonable price. No complaints here.
Good customer service for a bad product
If you have to deal with this vendor, you'll likely have a good experience, but I wouldn't recommend a purchase here.
Seem to make a good product
I didn't have to interact with the seller, which ultimately is how it should be. Their product is as described, packed fairly well, and easy to assemble.
