Powered by the ASMedia ASM1142 controller chip, the Silverstone SST-ECU04-E add-on card features one internal 19-pin USB 3.1 header connector that allows you to add two USB 3.1 ports to, like, the front panel of your computer case. This card utilizes PCIe Gen2.0 x2 host interface, which provides 10Gbps theoretical throughput to match the 10Gbps bus bandwidth of USB 3.1 specification. An enhanced version of the original ECU04 model, this ECU04-E comes equipped with two ReDriver chips for vastly improved performance over longer cable connections. This ensures 10Gbps bandwidth transfer rate can be maintained for up to two meters* compared with just one meter per USB 3.1's specified limitation.
