Big and Beautiful
Pros: Considerable Size, vibrant colors, HDR support, Gsync support at 165hz!
Cons: More of a bizarre design choice to have an actual on/off switch on the monitor, and to have the joystick in the back to navigate through the functions of the monitor.
Overall Review: Quite Impressive
Frustration Awaits.
Pros: PC not required. Very easy to record. User interface is simple and to the point.
Cons: Upgrading the device is a real pain. Company forums are littered with spam; good luck trying to get help. Cables included may not work as well as advertised. Device randomly restarts and freezes. Can't get 1080i on XBOX 360. Only 720p. Lag in sound and video; even after upgrading the device to 1.6.4 and converting the .avi to an .mp4 and putting the device in real-time mode. Scrambling on some videos may occur. Device randomly stops recording mid-way through your recording session and becomes unresponsive except for turning it off.
Overall Review: I bought this device with the sheer notion of uploading my gameplay footage to Youtube. It's been very hit or miss lately. Video will occasionally scramble, random shut offs during mid-recording, can't get 1080i on my XBOX 360 without my TV having a seizure, the list goes on. I had to shell out near $100 in new cables because the ones supplied produced a buzzing sound and produced "wavy lines" in the background. I really hope that it's just the device that's only defective because there aren't many options out there for recording gameplay without the use of a computer.
Worked Great...For a Day.
Pros: Very easy to set up. GUI is very simple to use.Lots of extra, useful features not found in other routers. Updating the firmware is very simple as the software within the router searches it for you. Decent range. FAST - Went from a RT-A66U and the difference was night and day in terms of speed. Went from 50-100MBPS to 241MBPS on Comcast.
Cons: Expensive but definitely worth the cost. This is a BIG router so make some room wherever you will put it. Edit 7/18/2017: Getting access into the router interface and WiFi was a MASSIVE headache. After numerous attempts, I had to reset the router. I couldn't get back into it. I wound up returning it.
Overall Review: I hesitated on pulling the trigger on this router because of how expensive it was. However, after doing some research on Small Net Builder (I recommend this site to anyone) I bought it. Simple to set up, simple to use and quite powerful. I haven't used all of the features yet but this is the best router I've ever used. Don't be put off buy the price. Check the reviews for yourself. Edit
Pretty Slick
Pros: Case is VERY roomy inside. Very little tools needed as I only used a Philips Screwdriver to tighten some screws with the fans. Multiple fan mounts on the case! You can have a maximum of 11 FANS (2 on the top, 1 on the rear, 2 on the side, 2 on the bottom, 4 in the front) in the case! Case is all metal and solidly built. It has a subtle yet striking appearance. The dust filters are easy to take out and clean. Cable management is much easier to deal with because of the side panels that you move cables through. I personally enjoy this case. It was either this or the NZXT Phantom 630.
Cons: Nothing to report.
Overall Review: I just finished my build yesterday and it looks amazing! I'm happy that I got this case and I wouldn't look back. Get it and you won't regret it!
Not bad.
Pros: Very Bright. Monitor is adjustable. Excellent Quality.
Cons: Be wary of dead pixels. I already have one and my monitor isn't even two weeks old.
Overall Review: Excellent price for the monitor. However, please be careful and get a warranty. I already have a dead pixel on this monitor. NOT HAPPY.
An Excellent Monitor
Pros: Slim Form Factor. IT'S BIG! Excellent price for the monitor. Colors are crisp, bright and vivid. Inputs are in the back rather than underneath (more of a personal preference). Excellent for gaming boasting a 2ms refresh rate; making it ideal for fighting games (Super Street Fighter IV AE 2012 & UMvC3). NO DEAD PIXELS!!!
Cons: Not a big fan of the glossy panel. Can't adjust the height of the base.
Overall Review: I was thinking about going for the Asus monitors but I decided to go for something different. The last time I had a monitor issue was 3 years ago with my Asus monitor failing on me and I had to RMA it 3 times and they wouldn't cover my shipping costs. Although it has been a while since that has happened, I wanted to try out something different. Came across this AOC monitor and did some research. It was well-received all around and I took a chance and wasn't disappointed. I had an ASUS VH222H-P and coming to this monitor made a massive difference. I feel more in-tuned when I'm gaming due to the size and quality of the monitor. I would strongly recommend this monitor while the discount lasts.
