Yes the Vizio D32x-D1 32 inch LED Smart TV comes with a remote. It is very friendly, and easy to use to make screen and audio adjustments.

What is the width between the stand-feet of the TV?

It varies because of the shape of the legs. At the front of the leg (closest to the viewer) its 22.5 inches. At the middle of the leg where it attaches to the TV it's about 20.5. These dimensions are inside edge to inside edge.

how well would it work as a gaming monitor?

It could work depending on what games you play. If you’re into fast action games like CSGO I wouldn’t recommend it, the input latency will get you killed. But if your into games where super fast response isn’t critical, it’ll work in a pinch. For $50(ish) more you can get an ASUS monitor that will have better response times and an excellent picture quality.
