I have a dell t7810, not 7820. It has one stick of 8 GB memory. It only has 2 slots for memory. Can I add this one to make it 16 GB, or does the 2 sticks have to match?

For other Dell workstations, the two slots should have identical devices in them. You can find this info in the T7810 manual or call Dell customer support.
