Will this work on Lenovo X201 Core i5?

Open up your laptop case to expose the current ram that's installed. If it is labeled as ddr3, then yes these ram modules will work. It is also important to remember that every computer has a maximum ram amount that it can recognize, and the more recent laptops require low voltage ram modules. Search online for your computer model specifications to insure that these modules conform to your laptops specifications.

So is this a plug-n-play install? If I take my time with the screws and edges etc, ground out the static electricity, and pop those babies in...is that all? Or do i need to change settings or download drivers or...? Please advise~

Some computer BIOS' will need to update on memory changes.  Just boot to the BIOS, save config changes, which were made automatically, and then reboot.  Don't recall if I had to with these modules or not but it is a possibility to be aware of.

Yes Larry, they will work in your Alienware m17r4, and you can actually use four of them for a max memory of 32Gigs.

I use them in Dell Precision M4700 mobile workstations and have been very pleased with their performance.

Why would you want to - you have great Ram - brand sticker has zero impact on performance unless you’re running in the Goni desert !

Double check I think you only have space for one chip. This is 2 at 8gb each. Think yours only will go up to 12gb as well

Will this work with an ROG G750JM? It looks like it will, based on the specs, but I wanted to see if anyone has tested it with that laptop model.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: I am actually using my ROG G750JM right now as I type this message. This specific model does work perfectly with my laptop. Inside this behemoth laptop, there are 2 empty slots right under the access panel on the bottom. Deeper inside the laptop, there are the 2 actual ram sticks that came with the laptop. These are harder to access. What I recommend (and what I did) is just to put these Ripjaws in the 2 empty slots under the access panel. They work perfectly fine while paired with the stock ram sticks. Great product. Good luck and have fun with your ROG! It's a great machine
