Noctuas DX line CPU coolers have become a default choice in premium grade quiet cooling solutions for Intel Xeon processors. The NH-U12S DX-4677 features a larger, custom-designed contact surface for LGA4677 platforms. Based on the proven, 120mm size NH-U12S heatsink and equipped with two of Noctuas award-winning, PWM controlled NF-A12x25 120mm fans, it provides an excellent balance of performance, compatibility and quietness of operation. Topped off with the professional SecuFirm2 mounting system and pre-applied NT-H1 thermal compound, the NH-U12S DX-4677 forms a complete premium quality package for quietly cooling LGA4677 based Xeon workstations and servers.
Please note that the NH-U12S DX-4677 is a dedicated version for the Intel LGA4677 socket. Due to its customised larger base, it cannot be used on smaller sockets and is incompatible with Noctuas mounting kits for these sockets. Please refer to our socket compatibility overview for details. Please also note that installing an LGA4677 processor and heatsink requires a plastic CPU carrier frame. These carrier frames are included with boxed retail CPUs and available separately via Intel sales partners for tray type CPUs. As different CPUs require different carrier frame types (E1A, E1B or E1C), please make sure to purchase the correct carrier frame for tray type CPUs.
