Yes, so if your devices are an older DisplayPort revision, you can "future proof" your cable collection by using this cable. Just don't expect it to somehow enhance the performance of older DisplayPort devices.

Will this cable allow me to connect a laptop with my TV?

Not likely. While some extremely new TVs MIGHT have a display port, it’s unlikely. You’d have to use hdmi or a display port to hdmi. But in all likeliness, you’ll need a Mini DisplayPort to hdmi.

can i run this cable with 1440p 144hz?

Yes, but make sure you have a good enough gpu to run 1440p at the 144hz specification.

will this be good for 240 hz monitors?

Hello, Thank you for contacting us in regards to your question. As these cables are rated for DisplayPort 1.4, these cables should be more than sufficient for 240hz depending on your resolution.
