At 66.5 dB-A noise level, it is going to be noisy, but who can argue with an amazing near 4:1 airflow to noise ratio, and a 7.16 cubic meter per minute air flow This amazingly powerful fan features a directional fin design that forces air to flow exactly where it's needed and achieve minimum noise under high airflow and air pressure. If you want to tame it down a bit, a fan controller can effectively reduce the noise level by slowing the fan - just make sure it can provide enough power (maximum 57.6W per fan) for the fan. Life expectance is 70,000 hours (or almost 24 years if you operate the fan 8 hours a day) at 40 degree Celsius with 15 - 65% RH, all thanks for industrial grade materials plus top notched, high quality dual ball bearing, all weighing in at a super hefty 0.84 lb. This fan also features Over Current Shut Down function when rotor is locked during operation, thus effectively protects overheating and damaging of the fan. It is also equipped with Motor Start Protection and the fan will start at lower speed, and then reach full speed in about 10 seconds. Operating temperature is -10 to +60 Degree C with 5 - 90% RH. This fan has 3 wires lead with speed sensor output and a standard 3 pin fan connector. A cable adapter (3 pin to Molex 4 pin) so you can power it by a common computer power supply, as most motherboards probably will not be able to provide enough power to this fan through the onboard 3 pin fan headers. You can also power this fan through a fan controller (sold separately) but please make sure the fan controller can provide enough power (48W, or 57.6W at maximum) for this fan. |
