USB PD Power Supply
The European Union Directive (EU) 2022/2380 mandates that portable battery-powered devices and chargers be charged uniformly using a USB Type-C connector, and adds a new set of basic requirements to the provision. This clause is based on the EN IEC 62680 standard, which came into force on December 28, 2024, and will apply to laptops starting April 28, 2026.
