Question 1

Compatibility Check:  will this work in HP 8300 elite desktop for Autodesk Inventor?  The specs seem to match.  I am more concered about power requrements.  Will I need a bigger power supply?  The machine has a 230W suppply, I think.

I also have a K600 and it is only 35W.  The K620 has 2G of memory and the K600 only has 1G, and that is about the biggest difference, plus the clocking.  I just guess that the power usage is no more than 40W.  The K600 is in an AMD 8350 machine with a HD, a DVD player, and an ARIA 300W power supply.  The K620 is in an AMD 8350 machine with 2 HD's and 2 DVD players with a 450W PSU.  I've had no power issues with either, and they're both in micro ATX boxes, not towers, and both are air cooled with stock heat sinks.  I don't know what other equipment you're running in your computer, but that would be a deciding factor.  I didn't want to use the MB video output because it puts an extra burden on the memory.  But, w/16G of memory, I just wanted better video.  For my computers, 125W CPU + 40W video + 40W(?) MB & memory, it sure looks like less than 230W.  If your PSU is a mini-ITX version, I would verify the quality of the PSU.  If you're CPU is low power, it looks good to me.

Question 2

Can I use a DVI splitter for this device? Im trying to connect 3 monitors and I need use a DVI splitter to do so.

Hi Travis,

you can't slit the DVI signal but the Quadro K620 has DP 1.2 that supports Multi Stream. You can buy a MST HUB and run up to 4  displays from the Displayport. Keep in mind maximum resolution supported via DP 1.2 is 3840 x 2160.

Will this work with windows 10?

Yes definitely this card will work 100% with Windows 10.  I'm an IT person for a 160+ A/E Firm, we use AutoCAD & Revit and found these cards work well.  We have a decent amount of them running on Windows 10.  I would advise you to download and the latest driver from Nvidia for this card as the CD Rom's drivers are usually pretty old.  The latest driver as per this writing is: 368.86 dated 7/18/16.  You can obtain the driver from Nvidia's web site.

Question 4

I want to run a dual monitor setup with this card.  I have 2 older Samsung SyncMaster 943BT monitors I want to use (they have only VGA and DVI-D Dual Link inputs).

Since the video card has one DP and one DVI output, can I use a DP to DVI-D for one monitor and a DVI-D cable for the other?  Will this allow me to choose to extend the desktop?

What other choice do I have?  Can I use one output on the graphics card and one on the motherboard?

I'm using SolidWorks 2015 and the main display needs to be able to connect to the GPU.  The other monitor I don't care about video quality, only care that I can use it to extend my desktop so that I can open up D2L for school or other web pages while I'm drawing and rendering on my main screen.

The PNY Quadro K 620 is a great entry point 3D Work Station GPU. It come with 1 DVI Port and 1 DP Port plus a DP to DVI converter and using adapters you could convert those to Vga.  You can Set it to show same view or to show different things or diffent programs on each monitor.  I bought it to enable to use one of my computers as a backup for AutoCad 2015 and Architectural Desktop. It's an Intel X58 Motherboard running I7-975X and 24 Gigs.  It's backup for a new Asus X99 I7-5960x running 64 Gigs and a Pny Quadro K4200 GPU running Autodesk Building Suite 2015.

Does this card require  UEFI support?

yes it does, find out if your pc has UEFI. I bought mine for my server which has UEFI. Great card for servers and workstations, pc's might not have UEFI because the end user rarely will need a replacement for bios. Hope this helps.

Is there a Windows 10 Pro driver available for this card?

No, but if you let the nVidia driver detector do its job you will be fine. Do not use the Windows WHQL registered driver run or you will get only one monitor output.

If you look at the picture of the product, you will see that it has a display port and DVI connection. You could absolutely use a DVI to VGA adapter and a DP to VGA adapter to give yourself two VGA outputs but the card does not have VGA connections native.

It says this card can support up to 4 monitors via the DP 1.2, just wanted to know how this is possible when it only has 2 rear ports? Sorry for the newbie question, but I'm interested in purchasing this card if I can get it to run my 3 monitors.

It supports 4 monitors using DisplayPort Multistream. For three monitors, you'll need two DP monitors that can be daisy-chained, like Acer B276HUL or Dell U2415h (last monitor in the chain does not need daisy-chain feature) or use a hub like Accell model with three outputs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F81GH5271&cm_re=accell_hub-_-0B1-00UH-00005-_-Product You can use active (not passive) DP to DVI/HDMI/VGA on the outputs if you have non-DP monitors.

It's been a while since I've checked, but I'm pretty  sure that card only supports two monitors regardless of the configuration. Also,  you might want more power in your power supply, i think newegg a good  calculator to help you figure out how much power you'll need depending on your components
