Pros: As mentioned in the title, the big advantages of this drive are the scalability and reliability features of this drive, combined with high performance. This hard drive was created by Western Digital with large business servers in mind. The primary feature in mind was the ability to be used in conjunction with many other hard drives, and that is where we get the WD SE drive series. Like the WD RE and XE brands this hard drive is capable of working in a configuration of over 24 hard drives. A feature that the WD Red series and lower series are incapable of. This allows for much more complex and extensive server connections to be available. The performance of the drive is quite good. As compared to similar hard drives by other manufactures, through tests performed by companies this drive beats or comes close to their performance. Even when this drive fails to beat the other drive in performance, the performance is very consistent and does not vary as much. Using Crystal Disk Mark, I was able to get these results: SEQ-Read: 174.1 SEQ-Write: 172.6 512KRead: 56.47 512KWrite: 101.9 4KRead: 0.716 4KWrite: 1.989 4KQDRead: 1.838 4KQD3: 1.985 Compared to a WD 2TB and a Samsung 2TB I also have in my system which perform close to each other, the WD SE 3TB drive performed between 153% and 165% faster in general write and read speed than the other drives. Since this drive became my new backup drive because of its high reliability, I was able to copy data off both 2TB hard drives simultaneously with hardly any slow down in transfer. In other words, this drive was able to perform at transfer speeds close to the other two drives combined! This probably comes as result in large to the dual processors located on board and the fast DDR2 memory.

Cons: Going by WD design, this hard drive has less performance than the WD RE and XE brands. This is not really a con, as the hard drive performs excellent in all tests I performed. I only list it, because it is a con in comparison to the higher end drives by design. A minor con comes as result of the drives power saving features. While I have mixed feelings about this, the drive takes between 5-10 seconds to get up to speed if you have not accessed it in a while. It is probably for the best, since the drive not in use will save power and last longer, but I don't like when I finish typing an email or reading online for 15 minutes or so and the drive is spun down.

Overall Review: I have a lot of faith in this drives ability to work. It is not loud, and seems to run smooth. With the extensive amount of testing put on the drive by WD, I have high doubts that many of these drives will be sold that are bad. While compared to some hard drives, it is a little expensive, but the drive is one of the most reliable hard drives on the market. While this drive is not able to perform quite as good as the WD RE and XE hard drives, it still performs excellent. The hard drive gives faster speed than I have ever experienced with a hard disk storage solution. If you are of need to set up a sever with large storage space and you don't want to have to worry about a drive failure for some time, I would highly recommend the WD SE series.

Cons: Transferring files to and from the drive over its wireless connection is extremely slow. Not really more useful than a wired external HDD Can be difficult to turn on and off. Larger, heavier, and more expensive than 2 TB external HDDs.

Overall Review: Overall, this external HDD is nice, but it tries to be more than a simple external HDD by adding wireless features that aren't really that useful. Over wifi multiple devices can connect to it at the same time, but the transfer speeds aren't very good, and it can be inconvenient to use. If you connect to the drive over the wired USB 3.0 slot, it is considerably faster, and you can remain connected to a general WiFi connection for Internet usage. I tried to think of a real world use scenario for this device that would be more useful than a wired external HDD, and the only one I could think of is if you were traveling in a car on a long trip with several people who want to stream videos. In that case, it would be nice, but it would not be helpful in any other situation. Even if multiple users needed to access files on the drive at the same time, it would be far faster and easier to connect the drive one by one to each system and transfer than to do it over the network. Although the drive has nice build quality, the added price of the not so useful battery and wifi features make it a tough sell, and I would honestly recommend users look into other external drives.

Cons: Doesn't have water proof certification, though it likely would handle light some amount of water splashed onto it OK, especially if the rubber over the USB port is in place. Just don't forget it in your pocket by accident and send it through the wash.

Overall Review: Corsair's exceedingly compact EX100U storage device featured a sturdy enclosure that can easily stand up to every-day wear and tear as well as a few accidental drops without being damaged. This is good, especially as its compact size makes it likely to end up in your pocket at some point, but it should handle being tossed around with coins or keys just fine. The large 1TB capacity is also more than enough space for most people. Even with a modestly large collection of videos and music, there should be plenty of space on the 1TB EX100U to hold all of your files. This makes it an ideal solution for use while traveling where taking entertainment with you can make a trip far more enjoyable. It's also especially valuable to college students that could make use of it for storing their work projects in addition to holding all of their favorite media content. From using the drive for personal use, I have yet to see any slow down even with transferring large amounts of files onto or off of the drive. I don't have a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port available for testing, but I tested the drive using CrystalDiskMark 8.0 by connecting it to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that supports 10Gbps of bandwidth. In this configuration, the drive was able to hit near the max possible read and write speeds of the interface with roughly 1,030MB/s of bandwidth while reading and 1,017MB/s of bandwidth while writing. Though I was unable to test the drive with a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, I am fairly certain the drive can perform faster than the speeds I observed over the slower USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and this leaves me little reason to doubt Corsair's claimed read and write speeds. If you're in the market for a fast, compact, durable and high-performance portable SSD that has plenty of storage capacity, then Corsair's EX100U is arguably one of the best that you could consider.

Overall Review: In general this power supply is exactly what you would want it to be. It's semi-modular power design reduces clutter in your case by removing unused cables. This also helps to maximize air flow and efficiency. After building it into a computer and booting it up, I wasn't able to hear the fan cooling the unit over the fans on my CPU and GPU. I also tested the PSU outside of the case by jump starting it with a paper clip on the motherboard 24-pin connector, and the fan was relatively quiet even while sitting on a desk. In general it's nearly inaudible under normal operating conditions. This unit is also highly efficient with an 80+ silver certification, and it provides plenty of power for most PCs. If you've never bought a power supply before, it's important to calculate a rough estimate of exactly how much power your PC will use in order to find the right power supply. PSUs are most efficient when at around 80% load, which means that this unit is best used in a PC that will consume on average between 500 and 600W. A lot of gaming computers fall into this range, which makes it an excellent option for gamers.

Overall Review: Overall, it isn't the fastest DDR3L RAM, but it performs well. I tested two of these in a notebook together, and they were rock solid the whole time. They are fairly inexpensive modules as well, which makes it perfect for users performing an upgrade to an existing system. As I mentioned above, the CAS latency is a little higher than i would like, which makes it a little noncompetitive, but it still will outperform the large number of DDR3 DIMMs that operate below 1600 MHz. This RAM also uses 1.35v, which is great as it slightly reduces your systems overall power consumption. In the end, there are a few RAM kits that are faster for just a few dollars more, but they don't really add much and this RAM works perfect as is.

Overall Review: Let me start by saying that this is not a bad PSU. It works well so far, and remains relatively quiet. The PSU has two issues, however, and one of them is fatal. The first issue is the limited number of power connections, and the arrangement of these connections. There are 4 SATA power connections, but all of these are on the same cable. This can make connecting devices difficult without the use of extension cables. For example, it was impossible to connect both HDDs and an optical drive in my ATX case. The cable was just too short and couldn't reach the optical drive once the HDD was plugged in. There are also just three MOLEX power connectors, which is a less serious issue nowadays, but still can prove problematic. The more serious issue is that it is priced at $49.99 right now. At that price, there are numerous PSUs that offer more features, better efficiency, better MTBF ratings and are all around better power supplies. For $30, this PSU would be a great deal for a light-gaming system. At $49.99, it is a complete rip off. So if you are considering this PSU on sale, then go for it, but otherwise check out some other PSUs on Newegg, as there are plenty of better ones.
