Proven reliability
iStarUSA BPU-230HD-BLACK 2 x 5.25" to 3 x 3.5" 2.5" 12Gb/s HDD SSD Hot-swap Rack
Pros: - Easy to install and set up. - Very reliable.
Cons: - Tight fit in drive bay enclosure.
Overall Review: This is my second BPU-230HD. The first unit was purchased from Newegg way back in May 2010 and it has been running continuously in a server with hardware RAID since that date. I swapped the first unit to a different chassis about a year ago and had the opportunity to inspect it, during which it required nothing more than cleaning of the fan assembly. The latest BPU-230HD unit arrived very well packaged by the manufacturer and all parts were present and undamaged. Installation was very straightforward and took only about 10 minutes. One thing I've noticed on each of the three times I've installed a BPU-230HD in different enclosures is that it is a very tight mechanical sliding fit. I would highly recommend this product, based on it's quality, appearance, ease of use and proven reliability.

Working well...

Pros: Arrived on schedule; Very well packaged; Drive operating to specification.
Cons: Caddy provided would not fit server.
Overall Review: The drive arrived on schedule in excellent physical condition. I deducted one egg because the caddy wouldn't fit the server. I used the caddy from the old faulty drive and the replacement drive then installed without problem. At time of writing it's been running to specification for two weeks. Good value overall and I would buy again.

Pros: Installs and operates without problems.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I plugged this into a front-facing USB-2 port of a Dell desktop. Windows 10 Pro (1909) recognized the new device and automatically installed appropriate drivers. Wireless networks in the neighborhood could then be seen and I was able to connect to my chosen network without problem. At time of writing I've been using the device about a week and haven't experienced any dropped connections or performance issues.

Good Quality, Some Limitations

Pros: The connectors and wiring are good quality.
Cons: The wiring is a little stiff.
Overall Review: I used this in a SFF chasis and the stiffness of the wiring presented some challenges in the confined space.

Not Grade A, as advertised...
The shipment arrived on time, was well packaged and all items were present. The PC system was advertised as Grade A, however, the case was dented and one of the rubber feet was missing. The system powered up and was configured without problem, runs fine and is in accordance with specification, with the exception of the cosmetic defects. I'd be hesitant to use this seller again, knowing that obvious defects got through the quality checks.

Very Happy with Purchase of Desktop PC
The PC arrived on time, was well packaged and in good condition with all items present. The PC was sold as Grade A and upon inspection was Grade A. The system started up and was configured without any problems. I would recommend this merchant and will use them again.
