Pros: Build quality is good CPU temps are good Fans are very quiet Pretty lights Has a motherboard USB connection

Cons: Software is pants - I uninstalled it and just used BIOS

Overall Review: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE AFTER > 1 YEAR ---------------------------------- I have upgraded with additional fans, so now 4 fans in push-pull. Also removed mesh from case so airflow is pretty extreme. I'm using Thermal Grizzly Cryonaut TIC Performance is excellent: Using HWiFO64 for watts and Corsair Link for coolant temperature and an external measurement of radiator air intake, I measured just better than 0.05c/W coolant to ambient, and about 0.3c/w package to coolant. These are very approximate as they neglect heat transfer from the CPU to the mobo and you really can't. I would definitely buy this AIO next time ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had zero problems with this cooler. I would note that the radiator and fans are on the large side - check your case specs to be sure that your video card won't bump into it. As a request to all manufacturers of these things - to actually compare coolers, we need a standard set of data: - Thermal resistance at cooling surface (degrees C / Watt) at maximum pump/fan speed - Thermal resistance at "silent" pump/fan speed - Lifetime (L10) at a defined "typical" operating condition For reference, this is my bill of materials and it all fits and is compatible: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4 3333 (PC4 26600) CMK64GX4M4B3333C16 Video: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 DirectX 12 GV-N1080TTOC-8GD 8 System SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 2TB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7E2T0BW) Data SSD: WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - WDS100T2B0A Backup HDD: WD 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD6003FZBX Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series, H115i PRO RGB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 T2 220-T2-1000-X1 80+ TITANIUM Case: Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Desktop Computer Case OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit - OEM

Unusual and very cool case

Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Motherboard Support
Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Motherboard Support

Pros: The motherboard tray makes it really easy to install RAM, SSD's, cooler bracket then drop it easily into the case Lots of positions for fans but even naturally ventilated it stays cool inside Carry handles are very nice Easy to remove sides and top for testing

Cons: The space beneath the motherboard tray (for PSU, 5" external, 3.5" external and internal) is very tight. Specifically, make sure you install all the cables you'll ever need in a modular PSU at the outset, because it's a complete strip down to add more after the fact. I wish it had all the fans pre-installed. I used one of the installed fans as the rear system fan (replaced the installed fans with the CPU cooler fans), but had to buy 2 x 80mm fans for the internal drives and a large fan for the top. EDIT June '19: - eSATA bays stopped working a couple of months back. I think they took one 10TB HD with them... - I decided to install additional fans to push-pull the Hi115 Pro cooler. I had to use very low profile fans internally and hack some of the decorative plastic off my 280mm long graphics card - upgrading to an RTX 2080 would be a major problem.

Overall Review: On the whole, I love this case. Like other Cooler Master cases I've had before, the quality is excellent and the design is full of neat clever little features. Not a con - but the case is black-on-black, every component I installed was black-on-black. Looks cool when complete, but my middle aged eyes struggled to see stuff whilst assembling. EDIT November '19: - There is no way to isolate radiator air flow from the rest of the case. In my initial build I opted to use the radiator fans (all four of them with my mods) to exhaust from the case and a lot of other fans (including at the sides and lid) to blow air into the case to minimize any pre-heat of the radiator cooling air. This worked pretty well. - After upgrading to an RTX2080TI there is A LOT of heat dumped in the case (TDP is 250W and a standard OC is 280W). The pre-heat in radiator intake air was now significant. - The lack of airflow isolation means there is no perfect solution: either pre-heat the AIO intake air, or pre-heat the VGA input air - In the end, I used it without the sides or lid and TBH it sits under my glass-top desk looking pretty cool. (I guess that's the test-bench promised in the description). Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro ATX Tower w/ Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Adjustable I/O & Fully Ventilated for Airflow, MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00

Pros: - Great price - Good build quality (given the price) - Produced a nice clean build - Has room for a decent GPU (although I didn't use one) - The perforations in the steel top, bottom and front are arranged so that standard 120mm fans align and can be added anywhere

Cons: - Some wire access is tight - but it's a microATX case so not really surprising - No USB-C ports - Cheap plastic side was a bit scuffed on receipt

Overall Review: For less than $40 the case is basically flawless.

Worked as hoped

StarTech.com PCI Express to 2 PCI & 2 PCIe Expansion Enclosure System - Full Length
StarTech.com PCI Express to 2 PCI & 2 PCIe Expansion Enclosure System - Full Length

Pros: - It worked as I hoped - I have now a 20 year old In-Circuit-Emulator working well on my very new PC. - It is solidly built. - It seamlessly presented the PCI card to Windows ready for native driver installation.

Cons: - It's a little on the expensive side. - It's very big - but this is to allow for full-size PCI cards. - Given the size and cost, I wish they'd have built-in the 120/240v to 12Vdc power supply (or at least provided mounting/grommets so I could put it inside the case)

Overall Review: - I have only used for < 1 day. I will update this if I have any issues. - I didn't test the 2 PCIeX1 slots - You have to get the power sequence right - the documentation makes this clear

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 T2 220-T2-1000-X1 80+ TITANIUM 1000W Fully Modular EVGA ECO Mode Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply

Pros: Specification is excellent Cable set is extensive with good lengths Worked fine out of the box Still working perfectly after two years

Cons: Cables are not very flexible - but no worse than other PC PSU's I've used

Overall Review: I realize this isn't a very helpful review - but it's all about longevity with PSU's and I doubt this will still be available in five years, and I'm CERTAIN I won't remember to come back and tell y'all how it's still working. It's big. Still works after two years. As a suggestion to the manufacturer, I personally would pay extra for high flexibility cables - you could sell them as a separate kit - I hate the strain that the cable harnesses put on the motherboard....

Worked Fine Out of the Box - Initial Impressions Very Good

Pros: - Capacity - Speed - Heatsink / Temps - Looks Cool - Personal experience with WD products has been excellent - Price

Cons: - None yet

Overall Review: - Bought this to replace Samsung EVO 970 2-TB which had started throwing BAD BLOCK errors into Windows Event Viewer (which I found when Acronis failed to make an image) - Replaced the drive, booted from Acronis rescue media, browsed to the last good image and restored. Took about 20 minutes to restore about 250GB of image. - Windows would not boot, tried to self-repair, couldn't. After an oh-oh moment, I booted into Safe Mode with Networking, disabled all startup programs and rebooted. No problems. Enabled all the startup progs one at a time and now all is well. Could have been an Acronis glitch or a result of changing SSD type/make (I just bought another one of these in case that was the cause) - The PC is now running fine, and there is a modest but noticeable and measurable improvement in disk speed compared to the Samsung drive. - I will update this review if I have any problems going forward
