MSI GTX 770
Pros: The card is a true workhorse. I have seen very high gains in the gmaes I use, such as The Witcher 2. My previous card, a HD Radeon 6870 could only run the game in low setting with a high frame rate. This card with just a mild overclock can run 55FPS in high settings. I also purchased the card with 4Gig GDDR5.
Cons: Price is steep, save up funds to get a good video card. The price will certainly drop now that AMD is releasing the R9 series.
Overall Review: I saved the money over a few months to purchase th card knowing it was high, so it was no big surprise. If you are a casual end user who just uses a computer for surfing, facebook, older games, non-intensive GPU power, this will not be money you need to spend. If you want a great gaming experience with nice overclocking and cooling ability, this is a great card.
Corsair is good quality memory
Pros: Good quality, low CAS settings
Cons: I could not get these memory modules to work in an Alienware Aurora R3 at 1600Mhz. I tried every know bios trick but the best it would do is 1333Mhz. The memory is not the issue. I have researched the R3 and it is rated for 8/16Gig at 1333/1666Mhz or 8Gig at 1800Mhz. I believe it to be an issue with the motherboard.
HD case adpater
Pros: Durable all metal construction
Cons: None
Overall Review: This is a recommended adapter if you need to install a 2.5" hard drive into a full slot bay. Works fine and fits the tool less clipset in my twoer unit.
Samsung 840 SSD Review
Pros: It goes withot exception to say, but this is an incredibly fast sotage medium. There is no hard drive I have ever used, including 10K RPM 24/7 drives that matches it. The bonus Samsung Magician software add to the overall benefit. Also, as SSD inclusive, no hard drive noise, no heat/BTU output.
Cons: The price is the only negative point I can testify. Since SSD drives are still coming into their own, the storage space is smaller for the cost.
Overall Review: If you want an incredibly fast storage medium for boot, games or other workhorse applications that require high read/writes this is the premium media to use.
