Is the desk solid or hollow on the inside of the main desktop material?

Accepted Answer

The top is 3 pieces of MDF wood that are interlocked together.  It's as solid as can be without being a single piece.  The reason it comes in 3 pieces is for shipping purposes. If it was one solid piece it would have to be freighted, and you do NOT want to deal with that.  Long story short, the main desktop material (the hard wood on top) is all solid.

Question 2

Can this be converted to a standing desk?

I don’t believe it is made for standing it’s not  tall enough. Also we have it setup on a carpeted floor so it’s a little topsy turvy, due to the fact the desk is made out of a  heavy metal  underneath the actual desk top and maybe the base of the legs should be wider. I love the full desk size mouse pad, idk about cleaning it. This was the best choice for me. Directions are missing a step but I watched some videos and was able to figure it out.  The cable management netting is not made of durable quality and cannot hold a lot of weight and maybe it will have to be replaced during the desks life time.

Is this desk easily taken apart as it is put together?
