ThreatTrack Security Vipre Internet Security 2016 1PC Lifetime - Download
ThreatTrack Security Vipre Internet Security 2016 1PC Lifetime - Download

Pros: Low sale price, low use of computer resources, lifetime license on the device it is installed on. Contrary to what the previous reviewer stated, the software can be configured to allow access to websites that have been reported "troublesome" or potentially harmful to your computer (automatic background malware downloads). The fact that it keeps you out of trouble by default is actually an asset. No virus protection is 100% effective, but Vipre does a pretty good job and doesn't drag your computer down in the process.

Cons: The lifetime license is not transferrable to a new/replacement computer.

This device changed my mind...

Logitech M325 RF Wireless Optical 1000dpi Mouse, Black, 910-002974
Logitech M325 RF Wireless Optical 1000dpi Mouse, Black, 910-002974

Pros: Small, energy conserving design that works beautifully.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: I have always been a trackball user because I hated the poor performance of the typical wired mouse - having to lift the mouse to go back enough to get the cursor across the screen in limited desk space, and the cursor stalling because the mouse would not move the cursor (you KNOW what I mean). G-r-r-r! This mouse changed all that. I worked on a friend's computer using this type of mouse and liked it so well, I bought one for myself. I have been using this Logitech M325 mouse daily for about six months now and it has made me happy to finally give up the trackball. First, it never stalls the cursor - EVER. Second, it has the capability to move the cursor very efficiently and get the cursor across the screen and precisely positioned with very little desk space used. No more lifting the mouse to go back (as was required with the old low resolution wired mice). It also works flawlessly on practically any smooth, flat surface, and it has a respectable battery life to boot! In other words, it works like a mouse should work. Another thing I learned about this mouse is it is friendly to people with arthritis in their hands. I gave one of these to a neighbor suffering with the pain of arthritis, and she reports that her hand no longer hurts when she uses the mouse. The movement needed is minimal, and the buttons click with very little pressure needed, so she uses it in comfort.

Worked as advertised...

Link Depot LD-SATA-0.5C 6 in. SATA Cable with Power Adapter
Link Depot LD-SATA-0.5C 6 in. SATA Cable with Power Adapter

Pros: I realize everybody has different needs, but this combo was perfect form my need (adding a second hard drive). Perfect length, and simple to install.

Cons: The thing that mystifies me about this cable assembly is it is actually cheaper to buy two than just one. Based on some of the reviews, I figured two would be necessary, but not true. So now I have a spare.

Overall Review: None needed. I mean, c'mon, it's a simple cable assembly. How much can you say if it does exactly what is claimed? My suspicion is those who say it is flimsy and cheap used the "if it doesn't slide right in, force it in" approach, because they didn't have it properly aligned before pushing it in.
