Love this monitor!

Pros: 4K, HDR at 60hz with G-Sync is just great. Plenty of modern ports, easy to setup, easy to use and looks amazing, especially for gaming or HDR videos! Note that you can achieve the higher refresh rates listed but to get higher refresh rate _and_ HDR with G-Sync all at the same time, you need to connect the monitor using two display port cables (I'm only using one at the moment so 60hz is my max refresh rate if I want HDR and G-Sync). I've never used V-Sync/FreeSync/G-Sync before and I can attest, it is extremely smooth to be gaming at 60hz with no tearing what so ever. Another plus is that the monitor shield is totally optional. I didn't want such a bulky setup and I was glad that the shield is optional. Finally, I bought this refurbished and it was well packaged and arrived looking brand new! It's working well and so I'm very happy I was able to save a little bit and still get such a high-end monitor.

Cons: Very few cons here. There's not much dislike about this monitor. I suppose the requirement to use two cables to max out the specs is annoying but it didn't bother me. The sound is also mediocre but I don't think most people buying a gaming monitor intend to use built-in speakers. The sound isn't bad but it's far from great. Finally, the monitor's screen feels like plastic (not like a laptop's glass screen) and the bezel is plastic, though the bezel is relatively thin which is nice.

Overall Review: If you are a gamer or doing high-end video editing, this is a phenomenal monitor, especially for the price (even more so if you can get a like-new refurbished model like I did).

Great value!

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support ATX Graphics Card GV-N208TGAMING OC-11GC
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support ATX Graphics Card GV-N208TGAMING OC-11GC

Pros: I bought this refurbished video card because I wanted a very high end card capable of 4K gaming at at least 30 FPS with most detail settings cranked (or 1440p/1080p @ 60, if I enable ray tracing along with ultra settings) on most games I'm playing. It's succeeding at my goals so far! I'm glad I saved several hundred dollars by buying refurbished. This card is SO expensive, that saving a chunk was a big deal for me. I also intend to use this for VR (but I'm waiting on my VR kit so I can't comment on that yet).

Cons: The only con is that this came in a non-descript box with no manual, marketing materials, etc. I've purchased other refurbished parts and those have felt like they were new out of the box. This definitely felt bare bones. That said, the card is doing what it is designed to do and it has been working well since day one! Though note I'm only 3 weeks post build so we'll have to see if it stands the test of time.

Overall Review: Very impressive power and saving some money on a refurbished card was a big win.

Remarkable speed and great price for 1TB!

Seagate BarraCuda 510 M.2 2280 1TB PCIe G3 x4, NVMe 1.3 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ZP1000CM3A001
Seagate BarraCuda 510 M.2 2280 1TB PCIe G3 x4, NVMe 1.3 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ZP1000CM3A001

Pros: Large, 1TB drive at incredible speeds! I also love that it's TLC memory so it can continue to work well with many read/write cycles. This thing is INCREDIBLY fast, particularly if you have a fast CPU that can churn through data quickly. I installed Windows in under 5 minutes off a USB 3.0 thumb drive!! Game loading is also incredibly quick.

Cons: It's more expensive than SATA SSDs but it was relatively inexpensive for 1TB NVMe drives. I thought the value was there. Note that you need to make sure your motherboard and/or case has an m.2 screw as I don't recall this drive coming with one.

Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this to any gamer or anyone working with large files (photo/video editing for example). It's blazingly fast!

It's a beast!

Intel Core i9 9th Gen - Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake 8-Core, 16-Thread, 3.6 GHz (5.0 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I99900K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630
Intel Core i9 9th Gen - Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake 8-Core, 16-Thread, 3.6 GHz (5.0 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I99900K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630

Pros: I bought this on sale given the next generation was about to be announced. Looking at the latest benchmarks from Digital Foundry, I'm glad I bought the 9900K and saved a bit of cash given the relatively moderate performance delta over the upcoming 10th gen parts. I'm sure those parts will be beasts as well, but this has a ton of headroom left for 4K gaming (and I haven't overclocked yet) so I'm pleased I bought on sale when I did. So far, it's playing games at ultra settings in 4K smoothly. That's why I bought this so I'm pleased!

Cons: It doesn't come with a cooler. I haven't build a PC in nearly a decade and I'm used to stock coolers. Not with this guy. I went with the Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler.

Overall Review: If it's on sale and you can save a bunch compared to the upcoming 10th gen parts, it's a great value for high-end, 4K gaming. If you don't intend to game at 4K or aren't powering CPU-hungry VR titles like HL: Alyx, this may be overkill for you. It's a beast!

Fast, reliable, good looking in my case and a great value!

OLOy 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model MD4U1636181CHRDA
OLOy 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model MD4U1636181CHRDA

Pros: I bought these on sale and I was a bit wary of buying a brand I didn't recognize (I've never heard of OLOy before). Despite these being relatively inexpensive compared to similar speed and latency rated memory (and on sale when I purchased), they are working very well! By enabling XMP in my motherboard's UEFI setup screen, I was able to get the full 3600 MHz speed at the rated CAS timings. 32 GB of super fast DDR4 RAM at this price is incredible and I'm so glad OLOy came through! Note I'm only 3 weeks since building my PC so it's still a bit early but so far so good through multiple gaming sessions and benchmark runs.

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Great value for a large amount of high-end, low latency and fast RAM

Great value, reliable so far!

APEXGAMING AG Series Gaming Power Supply (AG-750M), 750W 80 Plus Gold Certified, Fully Modular, Active PFC, Continuous Power 750W, Peak Power 950W

Pros: I bought this on sale. It's powering a Core i9 9900K and an RTX 2080 Ti and is doing just great so far (3 weeks since building my rig with several gaming sessions and a few benchmark runs)!

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Great value and working well so far, powering very high-end and power-hungry components.
