Its PWM output can give you the best balance between quietness and cooling when you need it. Its low profile means that itt can be placed into tighter spaces where air cooling is needed. Air flow is a very healthy 48.8 CFM at a relatively quiet 41 dBA at maximum, or 1.382 cubic meter per minute. However, when CPU is not loaded up heavily, this fan should rotate at a much lower speed at a much lower noise level. Life expectance is 70,000 hours (or almost 24 years if you operate the fan 8 hours a day) at 40 Degree C with 15 - 65% RH, all thanks for industrial grade materials plus top notched, high quality dual ball bearing. Suitable applications include but are not limited to home media computer systems, ITX or low profile desktop computing systems, media entertainment systems, or low profile industrial rack mount systems. Operating temperature is -10 to +60 Degree C with 5 - 90% RH. Protection includes Over Current Shut-Down Protection when rotor is locked, and Polarity Protection which can withstand reverse connection on positive and negative leads. This fan does not contain ozone depleting substances such as PBBs, PBBOs, CDCs, PBBEs, PBDPEs and HCFCs. This fan has 4 wires lead with PWM and fan speed sensor output, and is wired with a standard PWM 4 pin fan connector. You may still plug it to a 3 pin fan header on most computer motherboards thus skipping the PWM function. Or you can power it by a common computer power supply with a 3 pin to Molex 4 pin cable adapter (sold separately) but you will lose the PWM and the fan speed monitoring functionality. Wire lead is approximately 12 inches long. |
