This mouse is adequate for the keyboard it is with and for normal computer operations , but I for my part do graphics and it is too small for my hand. It is certainly a good mouse for someone with a smaller hand. My wife uses it without a problem

Is the USB receiver recognized when accessing the computers boot functions like entering the BIOS or using F8 for entering into Safe Mode?

As far as I know. I have not tries that with this specific product.
