So why am i seeing ASUS site saying this is a DDR4 board but all the websites say its DDR5?

Accepted Answer

There is 2 versions of this board with both DDR4 and DDR5 variants. The one that uses DDR4 will have a �D4" included at the end of the name.

Will this MOBO be good for a 4070ti and Intel i7-13700k pairing? Mainly worried about size of GPU and if this card will be large enough. Can anyone confirm this board id indeed come with lga1700 bracket?

I have a RTX4080 and in Intel i7-13900K on mine and it works just fine. It is an LGA1700 socket.

Is there a q flash button on this motherboard?

The ASUS Z790-PLUS WIFI MB does NOT have a Q-Flash button neither on the I/O panel nor the motherboard itself. It has ASUS Easy Flash 3 and ASUS crash Free BIOS 3 both of which must be accessed within the bios itself. There is a Clear CMOS terminal on the motherboard at the bottom, but seems like a backwards/old technology for a "latest design MB. With this MB you'll just have to D/L the latest bios on to a USB drive and use any USB port to update the BIOS.

Does this board require an intel processor with integrated graphics?

No, integrated graphics are not needed on the Intel CPU.  I'm going to use this MB with 13900KF and the ASUS site says they are compatible.  Hope the ASUS site is correct!

Question 7

This board has four SATA connectors. I would like to use two for a RAID 1, and the other two for SATA Drives. Is this possible? It is not real clear in the RAID configuration guide.

Yes, it is possible to use two SATA connectors for RAID 1 and the other two for SATA drives. The motherboard supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology which allows for configurations such as RAID 0/1/5/10 using the SATA ports.

will it support 14th gen?

You will need the bios to updated to at least 1205 if it doesnt ship with that bios installed. Which unfortunately if it has an earlier bios you will either have to find somewhere a cpu that is supported by the bios or ship it back to Asus as a repair for them to update the bios and send it back to you. I found this out after purchasing the i9 14900KF  and the board already and luckily have a friend willing to loan me his CPU to get it updated if required. I was told by Asus support that the bios should be printed on the PCIe slots so you can see what version it is without booting into the computer.

Will NVME drives that already havce a heat sync fit in this motherboard?

Yes, Patrick. If you put it in that first M.2 slot, you'll have to lose the Asus M.2 shield, so aesthetically, it might look as good. The 2nd M.2 slot has no shield so it would work there, if it doesn't interfere w/ your GPU.

Does this board support intel raptor lake right out of the box or do you need to do a bios update for 13th gen cpu's?

I have it paired with raptor lake I9-13900K I built 1 week after the board was released and it worked fine with shipped bios.  There is a bios update out and it has performed well since the update too.
