Pros: Fast CPU, a 1060, 16GB DDR4 2400 ram & the monitor has G-Sync enabled already. Games run excellent at 60Hz at 1920x1080 and with the actual laptop montior having g-sync already, it does really make for a smooth experience The monitor is actually pretty nice considering and I haven’t seen a better one at this price point in a system that has this many options. The keyboard for this price range is excellent. Nice travel distance and spacing is very nice. Lighting is a little dimmer than I would have liked, but I am used to the Cosair K70 keyboard so, hard to compare. : ) The size can be looked at as a con, but one pro is the system stays very cool. Very little bloatware on the system, so it's a pretty clean install. If you want to install a m.2 and clean windows 10, goto acers site for this model and download the drivers (some will install anyway) and two software packs as that contains the only extras needed.
Cons: Weight/size. This is probably the biggest concern some people may have with it. Weighting in at 8 pounds, its not something I would travel much with. The thickness is also 1.5”, which is a bit beefy. If you have it at home mainly, then there isn't much of a problem, but traveling with it might be. If you have large hands, or lay your hands more flat on the keyboard, the left from corner does kind of dig into your wrist. I would have rather had the edge of the laptop be more straight across and more of a beveled or rounded edge. I don’t have any issues as I have a pillow under my left arm or use a hand rest, but it’s something to think about as it can be a bit annoying initially.
Overall Review: Some reported the audio sound is hollow; however, if you disable a few “enhancement” settings in the Dolby audio configuration tool (the first one on the left specifically) and tweak the audio EQ, the sound is actually quite impressive for a laptop. For a laptop in this price range, its really hard to fault much about this laptop honestly.
