Can I configure this for local storage only? I don't need to access my home data remotely.

Yes, setting up access for a remote device is a separate process that isn't required. I did set it up but much to my surprise it is a separate file folder that can't be accessed from he PC.

Does this NAS include the TB drives?

Yes, the LinkStation does include the TB drive. I love the capability that the unit sleeps on a schedule that you set.

does 4tb hardrive come with this? I see that software packaged with it.

Yes, the Cloud come with a 4tb hardrive.

Will this work with windows 10 ?

It have one drive, you can upgrade and change out to a bigger hard drive

Are drives hot swappable??

No, they are fixed. You will need to spend quite a bit more for hot swapable drives. But it is a great little unit and has been in operation nearly a year without any issues.

Once connected, do network connected devices like Blu-ray players see the content to play it?

Yes, any windows-share/samba related services will discover the device as long as they are on the same subnet on the network.

Does this NAS support connections via FTP?

Yes it supports ftp, afp, and smb
