Wanted Lightroom Alternative - Non Subscription
Pros: I am a rookie in regards to serious photo editing, as well as the work flow involved. With minimal exposure to Lightroom, (does that count as a pun?) and I have had zero experience with After Shot prior to purchasing this product. So I'm fortunate enough to be flexible with chosing a product based on what it does, rather then having a bias towards a particular interface. And while I have soo much to learn, as far as use, and eeking out what I want from my photos, I am quite pleased, and look forward to learning.
Cons: Not really a con, but the time it will take to get comfortable with the process, and familiarization with all these functions.
Overall Review: Would absolutely buy it again.
My oh my!
Pros: RUGGED,Smaller than a sticky note, and seems to weigh less than two sleeveless Blue Ray disks, at the same time, the read/write speed (on my test laptop, (via a faulty Thunderbolt 3 port which essentially behaves as an USBC port.. was able to repeatedly transfer 15GB of data, in under 40 seconds each run, both ways. I mean you could always carry a million and a half 3.5" Floppy disks in a 53 foot trailer (or two), if you had to.
Overall Review: If you need functional, rugged, convienient, storage, that can slot into any environment, not look out of place,ĺook no further. I intend to run this ragged, to see what kind of longevity can be epected of the Memory itself, but it being a Crucial product, I expect it'll be more than capable.
Small Footprint - Heat / Power and a Big Impact
Pros: Low Power Low Noise (1 Month in use) Amazing Performance.
Cons: Price - puts it in contention with either an 980ti or FuryX.
Overall Review: With my current build, I was not hindered by size, or thermal constraints. I choose this card due to my desire to keep a minimalist appearance, while still being able to 'stomp with the big boys' performance-wise, and it's doing this just fine at 1440p. In regards to comments about the 'coil whine' , I'm just not hearing it. Possibly a luck of the draw sort of thing, but I've not had previous issues with XFX cards. (My goto when building AMD graphics based systems). I've got this card installed in an Lian Li PC08 case, which has a liquid cooler on the CPU. With the case sitting right at head level about 2 feet from where I sit, I can whisper over the noise, and even game in the corner of the bedroom without keeping the Mrs up. This was my first new video card since my AMD 4890, and I am just floored. I am now considering buying a second card, to try these in crossfire. (Or building an itx gaming system for my son.)
AM3+ Early Adoption.
Pros: Solidly built. Current shipping BIOS 0402... quite easy to navigate, and configure. Excellent features list. Useful manual, ASUS continues to do well by the documentation. I installed a hexacore cpu, 16 GB of DDR3 1600 memory, and an SSD, which it properly configured and ran without so much as a hiccup.
Cons: The new interactive BIOS is a little quirky during post, but doesn't affect performance, and in no way affects my experience. So going to say no Cons thus far.
Overall Review: OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Memory: 16 GB - (4x4GB) G.Skill PC12800 (1600 Mhz) CPU: AMD 1100T x6 HD: 128 GB OCZ Vertex3 Max iOPS SSD PSU: Seasonic 660X 2nHD: Velociraptor 300 GB Functioning without loosing any more hair: Priceless. I'd heard horror stories regarding AMD's and mem running over 1333... horror stories about OCZ's SSD's and Windows 7... and or having the proper SATA 3 controllers, and it went smoother than any other install I can recall.
Only a few weeks use so far, however build quality of 585 DITI onehanded keyboard, and M913 mmo mouse seems excellent so far.
I would easily consider them as an option when considering either Logitech or Corsair when it comes to mice or keyboards. However, They need some time yet, to develop/ mature thier softaware still.
