Hello. I am not sure if this item will work with television. Honestly, I have never tried. I do know that the USB worked on my PC and my CD/Blu-ray player very well.....

Will it play Blu-Ray movies?

Yes it will play both Blu-ray and UHD movies but you will need to purchase software that will play Blu-rays like PowerDVD. For UHD playback, you will need to install a UHD decrypter through WIndows and a 4k display.

Does the UHD format include the ability to play/read 4K discs?

yes it does, but don’t forget you also need a 4K monitor.

I am using Windows 10, 64 bit, and it works fine. My processor is an i9-10980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz 3.10 GHz w/32gb ram.

Will this rip UHD discs or only play them?

It does not have software to rip them natively but it has the capability to do so if you get the software.
