Decent monitor for the price
Pros: The screen has a nice curve and sleek design. Color is decent and refresh rate reduces lag in tense gaming situations Monitor arrived without any dead pixels Nice price point, especially on sale
Cons: Not the wonder I was hoping for in that it is still 1920x1080 resolution. Curve is nice but I do not see any big difference from my old ViewSonic flat screen monitor and this monitor. Would prefer to have the controls on the front of the unit rather than on the back as it is quite a pain trying to make changes without being able to see the monitor head on.
Overall Review: I read many reviews on curve screen monitors before purchasing this one. Price point was a concern as I am on a fixed income. I would have preferred to have gotten one with better resolution but at the sale price I could not find any monitors that compared quality and price to rival the Spectre.
Just barely better than tapping on the wall to find a stud
Pros: The seller is very good and always great communication. This product, however, is sub-par with comparable products of its type. I was hoping the stud and electrical wire finder would be able to pick up better than it does. It lacks the depth of some of my other tools and gives false-positive readings as to the center or edge of studs. It does pick up electrical lines but best when shallow and just inside drywall. I used it most of one day, in conjunction with my other stud finder and find that tapping on the wall worked better than the Tacklife stud finder. This is not their best tool. I have a number ot Tacklife tools and they have been very good. Sadly, this one is a good idea but not very effective at its given task.
Cons: Lacks ability to find electrical wiring in mid frame circumstances, especially on 2x6 studs. The stud finder does not accurately indicate the center of the stud well and sometimes misses the mark all together. Tapping on the wall to locate the stud works almost as well as the tool and a lot cheaper.
Overall Review: The tool lacks the electrical wire depth to locate depth of wiring and the stud finder sometimes misses the mark, which of course makes the product not very dependable. I have a couple of other stud/electrical location tools that work much better and the one I use most can gauge the depth of walls to locate wiring and is spot on at finding edges and centers of studs behind drywall and plaster. This tool, is not the best in the Tacklife arsenal of tools I own.
Gen. 4 Goodness in 4tb storage
Pros: The drives are solid and this is one of several I have purchased over the past year for new system builds. The storage is a nice size for what I use these for and decent speed. They give a good warranty to boot.
Cons: Only con was the shipping. I ordered it on 07/29/2025 and it too UPS and USPS ten days to finally get it to me. Not a Newegg or product issue, just traveled by slow ox cart over the Pacific Crest Trail from California to Oregon.
Overall Review: Certainly a good price even though I had to wait on it to get to me.
Nice storage and design package.
Pros: Used it to back up my OS and primary files on new build. Fast transfer and ample storage. Like the design as it adds a little flare to the drive case.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Nice amount of storage for larger drive storage backup.
Basic inexpensive headphones
Pros: Nothing special but quite inexpensive. I have a couple of these headsets that I use in my shop while running lathes and noisy equipment. The do cancel out most of the distracting background noise and do let me hear music.
Cons: Pretty weak adjustment functions and crackling noise sometimes when adjusting volume. Might have some loose or somewhat unsoldered connections as it buzzes sometimes when playing music.
Overall Review: For what I use them for these are just OK. Does dull the background noise of machinery and does allow me to play music, though not well due to buzzing and crackling when adjusting sound levels. They do what I got them for but would not count them as something I would want to listen to l if playing classical music.
Great airflow and layout
Pros: Very good airflow. Affordable pricing. Plenty of setup options. Great cable management. Very good AIO cooling options. Large quality fans.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I bought this for my son who has it installed in the microwave space in his Freightliner truck. As a long haul trucker he has layover times, load wait times, and resets where he otherwise would have very little to do. This case has enabled him to mount the computer as to allow maximum airflow and keep the components nice and frosty. He said that he enjoys beng able to have time to play games and computer programming when not driving.
Missing Remote
I received the package and opened it to find the USB cord laying on top of the unit. I removed the unit and found the remote was missing. I sent Newegg pictures the packaging as it was sent and they refunded my money. Without the remote the functions of the massage are limited.
Better than Most
I am building a new computer system, something I do every couple years and want a good cooler for the new Intel processor. I have a Lian Le Lancool II case with the Gallihad 360 already that has performed very well over the past two years and caught the sale on the Gallihad 360 at Newegg a week ago. The cooler is reliable and the fans are active about 16 hours a day so the durability factor is great. Noise is a little louder than I like but then I have 9 fans + a three fan video card. I have never seen the CPU temperature rise above 70c using this setup and I use some very power hungry applications and games. As a former custom computer builder I have used lots of different makes of coolers and though the Gallihad series is not as well known as some others it is worthy of consideration because of price, durability and cooling capacity.
Misleading Seller Information
I ordered the CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5600 (PC5 44800) Intel XMP 3.0 Desktop Memory on 08/10/2022 through Newegg. Product webpage on Newegg states product ships from US but tracking info provided shows coming from China. I suppose if and when it reaches the US it will be shipped by someone in the US. Seller informed me there was some problem with shipping and changed tracking number but did not indicate who the shipper is so I cannot track the item delivery progress. Then I am told that I should have received it but again no shipper named nor tracking information provided. Newegg seller page gives seller 100% rating but below that states that there are no reviews so how can a seller have a perfect sales review with no reviews. I have requested to cancel the order as I need the memory for a build. Been 9 days and this delays the build for my customer. I ordered from Corsair direct yesterday and it will be delivered tomorrow.
